Hot 🔥 off the sewing 🧵 machine, a mini ‘Dames’ dress for dressing up during Heritage Weekend events in Temple Balsall tomorrow. Thank you to Sarah Beaman for her sewing skills 👏 as this has been created from an original ‘Dames’ dress, a true vintage, nay, historic piece! We have a bonnet and shawl to complete the look. Come and follow the Children’s Trail in church and take a photo of yourself as a Knight or a Dame 🥰🙏

A wonderful start to our first Campfire Church and thank you to Tom,Family Missioner, Maxine, Forest School & 🔥 starter extraordinaire, Lorraine with her bowls skills and general air of joy and of course our young people: Alfie, Cody, Theo and Evie. We had some fun on Temple House lawn, then into the woodland and campfire area. After some rules and collecting of sticks, we started the fire and toasted marshmallows for smores….😋tasty! A worship song, a short reflection on a Bible verse,”God saw what he created and he said, it is good” and then the time had come to douse the fire and make our way back for pick up. Next month, an earlier start time of 6pm for the months through the Autumn/Winter seasons. We’ll remind you in good time 👍

The weather for our last Sunday Teas of the year was dry with some sunshine 🌤️ and enthusiastic cyclists 🚴 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ were amongst our visitors. Thank you to all who came to enjoy the cake and company. Thank you to our intrepid volunteers (only some feature in photos) who ‘keep calm and carry on’ even when the dish washer breaks down 😩😳🙏 You all work so hard 👏and deserve a rest….
……but don’t put the baking tins away just yet….because cakes 🍰 feature over Heritage Weekend 12th/13th September. Refreshments will be served from 11am at the Art Exhibition in the School Hall and from midday with The Women’s Institute in The Old Hall on Saturday. See posters for full details. 😊

Creation in Christ, a Festival Service tomorrow at 10am as we journey through the Season of Creation with a preaching theme over the next five weeks from the A Rocha Award Scheme Eco Church Survey, beginning this week with ‘Worship & Teaching’

A wonderful afternoon at Birmingham Diocese only Carbon Neutral Rectory and a tour from Revd Canon Patrick Gerard, Bishop’s Advisor for the Environment. A celebration 🎉 lunch for all Deanery and Parish Environmental Champions. The sun ☀️ shone, so the solar panels will be happily gathering energy 😊
