Happy New Year! Remember the church door is opened daily (weather permitting) for quiet reflection, or just adding a piece to the communal winter jigsaw.

A big thank you to Reverend Rebecca who led our Carol Service wonderfully yesterday, also to Andy our organist, Rosie and Richard our readers, Alice for reading her poem, to Mary and Bridget for running the successful raffle (raising £60), to Janet who prepared the mulled wine and other goodies, to everyone else who brought food and drink to share, and finally to all who took time out of their busy weekend to come along to the service and stay for a while afterwards. It’s always heartwarming to see our church pews full with village residents, friends and family. There were a few faces missing due to being unwell and we wish them a speedy recovery. Including the raffle, a total of £200 was raised to help keep our church open at the heart of the Swarby community.

Advent and Christmas services around the wider parish, including Swarby Carol Service on Sunday 14 December at 3pm.
