Lest We Forget 🫡- Today we remembered our lost loved ones during our humbling remembrance service with a powerful message taken from Psalms 46.

Key Verses:
“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.””- ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬

“The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭11‬

Key points to consider:

Keeping a Godly perspective

God is our refuge and strength, do we believe that? He is always present and never leaves his people.

Trust God in what will come - have confidence in God our peace and provider, confidence that he is our beacon of hope in a world of chaos.

HTSB ON SUNDAY | 🙌🙌🙌

Continuing our conversation on Mark and the Fisherman, Buki looked at Mark 12: 13-17 and the Pharisees trying to catch Jesus out with his words! Powerful message of navigating a world that is trying to trip you on your words:

Key Scripture:
Mark‬ ‭12‬:‭14‬-‭15‬
“They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn’t we?” But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.””

Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Key points to take away:
‭‭1. Stay connected to God in prayer
2. Be led by the Holy Spirit
3. Avoid unnecessary conversations
4. Your Bible is your blueprint through life

Yesterday at HTSB we continued looking at Jesus and the Fisherman: Marks Gospel and in particular Mark 12:1-12.

Key verses:
““He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture: “ ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’ ?””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬-‭11

Things to think about:
Who’s Who?
The man - is God
The vineyard - in the Nation of Israel
The tenant farmers - the leaders
The servants - God’s messengers
The Son - Jesus
The Others - the gentiles
The fruit - faithfulness

Key Questions:
How will you treat the Son?
What sort of tenant will you be?
