Enjoy 45 minutes of relaxing classics in the beautiful environs of Shrewsbury Cathedral. The event is just £6 per person, payable on the door, or in advance via the QR code on the flyer.

On Friday 7th August a group of parishioners visited the shrines of Blessed Dominic Barberi, Sutton, Merseyside and the Shrine of the Holy Hand in Ashton in Makerfield.

Fr Sean, Fr Adam, five of our young people, and many other parishoners from the Cathedral Parish joined the Diocese for the 75th Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes this year. You were all kept in prayer in this holy place where your intentions, families, and our mission were placed at the feet of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, imploring her intercession before her Divine Son. Our Lady of Lourdes and St Bernadette - pray for us.

We are thrilled to welcome Emma Brown (flute) and Nastasya Sumantho (piano) to our recital series in partnership with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Both currently pursuing PhD studies at the Conservatoire, Emma and Nastasya formed their duo as an opportunity to balance academic research with their love of live performance and collaborative music-making.

Emma graduated with a Master's degree in Flute Performance from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2024, while Nastasya completed her Master's degree in Piano Performance at Leeds Conservatoire in 2023. Beyond the concert platform, their research interests are equally impressive, with Emma exploring disability in conservatoire education and Nastasya examining the power of expressive gestures in performance.

Come and enjoy an hour of beautiful music featuring a vibrant mix of flute and piano repertoire, alongside captivating solo works.
