Dear Friends around Severn Loop,
You may have read in the news that one of our local school playgrounds has been vandalised, with significant amounts of damage. You can read the details here - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crm9z22pj7no
As you know, we work very closely with the school, they are part of our Bomere community and we know how beneficial the outdoor area is to the children. I'm therefore sharing the following details with you, in case you are able to help:
1. If you would like to make a financial donation towards replenishing the lost toys and equipment, then there is a donations page here - https://gofund.me/d3f8df9c3 .
2. If you would like to donate specific items, I've put the Facebook post from Mrs Sallie Roberts (headteacher) at the end of this email, which details the kinds of things they are looking for.
Thank you so much- I know that the staff, children and governors (which includes Revd. Dave) will be so grateful for your prayers as they prepare for the start of term.
With blessings,
Hannah x
Facebook post from Bomere Heath CE Primary School:
Thankyou everybody for your kind comments. It was very upsetting to see our space ruined and items broken.
We had our balance bikes and trikes damaged, foam building bricks and foam mats have disappeared, multiple storage containers smashed, construction equipment thrown onto roofs and around the school grounds, toy cars gone from our car table outdoors, mud kitchen equipment damaged and broken( things like saucepans, utensils, metal kitchen equipment), baby dolls damaged and some missing too , our spare waterproofs have gone missing that allow children to access the outdoor area and forest school and sadly our mud kitchen has been destroyed 🙁
We have tidies the space up again and tried to make it back to how it was but if anybody does have anything they would kindly like to donate that would be very much appreciated 🙂
Thankyou all for your continued support 😊
