Shorne Parish Church

Shorne Parish Church St. Peter and St. Paul, the Parish Church of Shorne. Our vicar is the Rev Ted Hurst. We invite you to join us in worship every (or any) Sunday.

Our regular Sunday services are:
8.00am Holy Communion. A short service from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
9:30am Morning Worship
1st Sunday: All Age Worship - a service for all the family without Holy Communion.
2nd and 4th Sundays in the month: Parish Communion held in the Church. The service from Common Worship.
3rd Sundays: a evening service (5:00pm Summer - 3:00pm Winter)without Communio

n held in the church in the Randall Chapel.
5th Sundays: Specially devised service held in the church. For further information please contact our Vicar, Rev Ted Hurst

Due to the unavailability of a vicar to cover our 09:30 church service at St Peter & St Paul, Shorne on Sunday 31st May, we have been invited by St Margaret's, Ifield to join their service at the same time. The 08:00 service at St Peter & St Paul is taking place and all are welcome.🙂

The ever popular Quiz Night in church was a great success. Everyone had to exercise their grey matter but that was helped by their own refreshments! The winners were the "Soup Dragons" (can you work it out?) who took the trophy home and the chocs to the bell tower.
The money raised for the upkeep of our beautiful ancient church was well over £500. A lot of effort by the social group with great success. Well done all! 🙂

REMINDER - our monthly Village Coffee Morning in beautiful Shorne Church takes place this week on Thursday 16th April from 10am to 12 noon. (Yes it is the third Thursday already!) Drop in with friends and family for a cuppa (refills free) and a delicious piece of homemade cake. Bring children (lovely children's corner) and well behaved dogs. Raffle and craft table together with the usual warm welcome. See you there!🙂

Just a reminder of our services over the Easter period, Thursday at 6pm, Friday at 2pm after the church open for personal reflection, and then the celebration Easter Day Services, 8am and then 10am Family Service with EGG HUNT and hot cross buns.
