A proud moment with our choristers ahead of a mini-performance to members of our adult choir and parents of the late Andrew Carter’s “Badgers & Hedgehogs” from the Benedicite. We all love it!

Our church choir and Sing Joy, our choir for young people, joined together this morning for a glorious Sung Eucharist to mark Easter Day. As the risen Lord, our incense and our music were raised up. All of the great music for the day was sung, alongside a joyful rendering of Henry Ley’s “The Strife is O’er”. Thank you to all of our choristers and to Peter for assisting us at the organ.

Want to be part of something both meaningful and rewarding? Our next practices are on Thursday 23rd April. Sing Joy at 18:15, and the church choir at 19:00.

A reminder that, because our Director of Music is working away this week, there will be no Sing Joy! on Thursday 28th at 18:15. The adult choir will meet as normal at 19:00.

Know a child that loves to sing? Sing Joy! is back as normal on Thursday 5th February, complete with biscuits and some new music to start 😄

Happy New Year!

We’re really looking forward to resuming our choir practices this coming Thursday, the 15th January. Our choir for children, Sing Joy!, resumes at 18:15, and the adult choir at 19:00.

Know a child who loves to sing? Come along to a friendly, biscuit, juice and fun laden session with Sing Joy!

Anyone else who loves to sing? Come along for 19:00, as we warm our voices back up and rehearse ahead of the ecumenical choral evensong on Sunday 18th January, during which we will be singing the beautiful setting of ‘The Three Kings’ by Peter Cornelius. No high pressure, no requirement to be an established operatic soloist, great opportunities to learn and sing as part of all kinds of occasions. 😄

An amazing Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols has concluded, with choir items including O Holy Night, Bethlehem Down and Sussex Carol, a capacity congregation and roof raising congregational carols. Happy Christmas to all.

Autumnal greetings!

Our choir for young people, Sing Joy! returns following the half term break TOMORROW, Thursday 6th November at 6.15pm in church.

Know a child that loves to sing? Come along for a friendly sing, and of course a biscuit!

Spoiler alert: *Christmas is coming* - from Rudolph to Silent Night, we’ve got it covered 🥳 🔔 🌲 🎶

Coming up very soon! Organ150!

Organ music to include ‘The Lost Chord’ by Arthur Sullivan with its spectacular climax, cello and organ duets include ‘Gabriel’s Oboe’ by Ennio Morricone, solo cello music from the ‘Cello Suite’ by J.S. Bach and the choirs will sing favourite anthems by Wesley and Schubert. There will be some surprises along the way, a true variety evening to celebrate our church organ.

Join us for a wonderful evening followed by refreshments and the chance to chat with all of the performers.
