Local groups wanted for Community Open Day (Free stalls)

We are planning a Community Open Day at St. Botolph's Church on Saturday 3rd October 2026 from 10am–2pm and are inviting local groups, clubs, charities and organisations to express interest in having a free stall.

The aim of the day is to bring the community together and help people discover what activities, support and opportunities are available locally.

If your group would like to take part, please complete this short form https://forms.office.com/r/PrSNw1iJy8

• Free to take part
• Table space provided
• Open to all community groups

We are particularly keen to hear from groups supporting young people, families, wellbeing, sport and community support.

Please feel free to share this post or tag any groups who might be interested.

Thank you!

🔥 Wear Red for Pentecost This Sunday 🔥

This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost — the day the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples like tongues of fire, filling them with courage, joy, and hope.

To help mark the occasion, we’d love to see the church filled with red, symbolising the fire of the Holy Spirit. Whether it’s a red tie, scarf, dress, jumper, socks, or just a splash of colour — everyone is invited to join in!

We look forward to celebrating together this Sunday. ❤️

After four years in vacancy, we are delighted to announce that we are seeking a new Vicar of Shepshed and Oaks in Charnwood, who will also serve as Oversight Minister for the Beacon in the Forest.

We are looking for someone to lead us into the next chapter of our life together, growing in faith, deepening our community and sharing God's love more widely.

*Cheeky Chops Update*

We wanted to let you know that our church toddler group 'Cheeky Chops' will be taking a pause from its regular term-time sessions for a while.

Due to a change in circumstances for the team who have been faithfully leading the group, we need to take some time to reflect and consider what the future of the group might look like.

We are hopeful that this will only be a temporary break, with a view to relaunching in September. We’ll share updates as plans take shape so please do watch this space!

Thank you for your understanding and support.
