This is the time for many assessments for young people in our parish For some, reaching the end of their time in school with GCSEs, A-Levels and the like, but for others, they are just at the beginning. Children at Norton Free will be completing the Phonics Screening Check, and the Multiplication Tables Check.

Lord, we pray:
Keep them from anxiety, and stress.
Grant them peace and enable each to do the best they can.
Lord, may each know that your love for them is not based on success but on grace.
May each know that no matter the result, you are for them and that identity and value are based on your love for each one.
Create a generation secure in the knowledge of your love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Church Yard Tidy

We are holding a day for all volunteers to come along and help spruce up the church yard. This will include a whole range of activities from weeding to litter-picking, so there'll be something for everyone!
Pop-along for an hour or the whole session, 10:30am-2:30pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, along with tools but do feel free to bring your own gloves etc.
If you are able to let us know you are coming, we can also get in touch in case plans change.

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme allowing charities to reclaim basic rate tax (20%) on donations, boosting the value by 25% at no extra cost to the donor. For every £1 donated, charities can claim an extra 25p, provided the donor is a UK taxpayer who has paid sufficient income or capital gains tax.

If this applies to you, then please find an orange envelope in church to complete your personal details with your donation, or select the option that allows you to do so on the card reader.

As a Church, we are working towards Eco-Church recognition, expressing our care for God’s world in our worship and teaching; in how we look after your buildings and land; in how we engage with your local community and in global campaigns, and in the personal lifestyles of our congregation. So, have you considered this:

Take part in citizen science or a local nature event. Citizen science is a way for ordinary people to get involved in scientific research or data collection. There are many projects to choose from and it’s easy to make a contribution. Invite others to get involved with you too. Here are some projects that
you could help with:
A The Wildlife Trusts shore survey at a beach
Spend ten minutes counting pollinators for the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme.
Join in with Churches Count on Nature (6-14 June)
Do a 'Bee Walk'
Join Great Big Green Week (6-14 June)
