The Lord is risen! It was a great night yesterday when two of our members became members of the Body of Christ as they were baptised in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We would like to congratulate George & Phillip and welcome them to the Christian community. May everyone reading this have a happy and holy Easter.

Congratulations to all those collecting their A Level results today, and especially to those coming to this September. The last two years have no doubt been difficult but it is our hope that you will find peace and wisdom in this chapter of your life in this great city of seven hills.

Almighty God, we beseech thee, with thy gracious favour, to behold our universities, colleges, and schools, that knowledge may be increased among us, and all good learning flourish and abound; bless all who teach and all who learn; and grant that in humility of heart they may ever look unto thee, who art the fountain of all wisdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A wonderful evening was had by all who had the privilege of attending the Bishop of Sheffield's Lent lecture on Painters as Preachers at .
It concerned itself with depictions of the events we celebrate in Holy Week in art and was followed by sung Compline (which was much easier to follow).

Enormous thanks to everyone who came out to Lincoln today to celebrate the feast of Charles, King and martyr. A wonderfully put on day by all involved and one we will be sure to remember and reflect on with joy.

King of kings and Lord of lords, whose faithful servant Charles prayed for those who persecuted him and died in the living hope of your eternal kingdom: grant us by your grace so to follow his example that we may love and bless our enemies, through the intercession of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Wishing all our student members a blessed feast day of St Thomas Aquinas, the patron of students! Let his wisdom guide your studies and his philosophy inspire your mind.

On the reverse of all our information cards reads a prayer he authored to ask for God's help in guiding and directing our thoughts in study:

Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, the true source of light and fountain of wisdom. Pour forth your brilliance upon my intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance. Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself. Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion.

This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever. Amen.
