Please join us in praying for the nation, as we hear news of the Prime Minister's leadership resignation🙏

Dear Lord,

We thank you that you rule over nations and your governance is one of peace, righteousness and justice.

As we adjust to news of Sir Keir Starmer, the prime minister, resigning we ask you would be with those in positions of leading the nation during a transition of leadership. We ask for your wisdom at this time and for godly guidance for our nation.

May your church continue to play a key role in modelling unity in local communities and caring for those most in need at this time.

Amen

This Sunday is Father’s Day, and for most it will be a pleasant day.
However, for many it is a painful day.

Some of you are grieving the death of your father, and you wish you could see him today.

Some have fathers in declining health, and they may not even recognize you.

Some have been abandoned by their fathers, abused by them, or have a strained relationship.

Please know this truth, if Jesus Christ is truly your Saviour, you have been adopted by the Heavenly Father.

John 1:12

But as many as RECEIVED HIM, to them gave he POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, even to them that BELIEVE ON HIS NAME:

HE is a perfect Father.

He is kind, good. disciplines us when we need it, always providing, always protecting, and always blessing us more than we deserve.

Your Heavenly Father will never leave you or forsake you.

Hebrews 13:5l

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE HAS SAID, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU, NOR FORSAKE YOU.

This Father’s Day, focus on all the you possess with the best Father of all. He draws us to Himself, when we do not have an earthly father. There is none greater!

Sunday Hymn

1 There’s a call comes ringing o’er the restless wave:
“Send the light! Send the light!”
There are souls to rescue, there are souls to save.
Send the light! Send the light!

Refrain:
Send the light, the blessed gospel light.
Let it shine from shore to shore.
Send the light, the blessed Gospel light.
Let it shine forevermore.

2 We have heard the Macedonian call today:
“Send the light! Send the light!”
And a golden off'ring at the cross we lay,
Send the light! Send the light!
[Refrain]

3 Let us pray that grace may ev'rywhere abound;
Send the light! Send the light!
And a Christ-like spirit ev'rywhere be found.
Send the light! Send the light! [Refrain]

4 Let us not grow weary in the work of love.
Send the light! Send the light!
Let us gather jewels for a crown above.
Send the light! Send the light! [Refrain]

When people think they have sinned too greatly to be saved, it's because they don't understand that salvation is by grace and not by their good works. If you were trying to earn salvation, then a major sin might make you think you could never be good enough to make up for that sin, so you're too far gone to earn heaven. But because salvation is by grace and through faith alone, and not by our works, there is no sin which is too great if we will repent of it and trust in Christ alone to save us. We're not saved by how good we are. It is Christ's righteousness which is good enough. You cannot receive the righteousness of Christ by your merit. You can receive it only by faith....LMH

Sunday Hymn

Verse 1
Day by day and with each passing moment,
Strength I find, to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He Whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best-
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Verse 2
Every day, the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear, and cheer me,
He Whose Name is Counselor and Power;
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
"As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,"
This the pledge to me He made.

Verse 3
Help me then in every tribulation
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation
Offered me within Thy Holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
Ever to take, as from a father's hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.

Sunday Hymn

1 Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness;
And all these things shall be added unto you.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelu, hallelujah!

2 Ask, and it shall be given unto you;
Seek, and you shall find.
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

3 Man shall not live by bread alone,
But by every word
That proceeds out from the mouth of God.
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Sunday Hymn

1 Down in the valley with my Saviour I would go,
where the flowers are blooming and the sweet waters flow,
everywhere he leads me I would follow, follow on,
walking in his footsteps till the crown be won.

Refrain
Follow, follow, I would follow Jesus,
anywhere, everywhere, I would follow on.
Follow, follow, I would follow Jesus.
Everywhere he leads me I would follow on.

2 Down in the valley with my Saviour I would go,
where the storms are sweeping and the dark waters flow,
with his hand to lead me I will never, never fear;
danger cannot fright me if my Lord is near. [Refrain]

3 Down in the valley or upon the mountain steep,
close beside my Saviour would my soul ever keep.
He will lead me safely in the path that he has trod,
up to where they gather on the hills of God. [Refrain]

Sunday Hymn for Pentecost Sunday

1 O Thou who camest from above,
the pure celestial fire to'impart,
kindle a flame of sacred love
upon the altar of my heart.

2 There let it for Thy glory burn
with inextinguishable blaze,
and trembling to its source return,
in humble prayer and fervent praise

3 Jesus, confirm my heart's desire
to work and speak and think for Thee,
still let me guard the holy fire,
and still stir up Thy gift in me.

4 Ready for all Thy perfect will,
my acts of faith and love repeat,
till death Thy endless mercies seal,
and make my sacrifice complete.
