How much do you take to heart when reading scripture?

Moses called on God's people to remember the things that God had done for them, to treasure them in their hearts, but more than that - to remember them to their children, speak about them often, tie them to their hands, bind them on there foreheads and write them on their doorframes and gates!!

Don't just read God's word, let it speak to you, come to God with an open heart and pray, Lord speak to me through your word - and then tell others of all that God has done for you.

Who in the local professional teams do we know are followers of Jesus - and are happy for others to know?

Would be good to be able to pray for them and the witness they have.

No two ways about it, the landscape in the UK has changed profoundly in recent times. An article like this in the Sunday Times would have been unthinkable not long ago. Loving the profile given to Christianity in football in this season. Praying for ministries like Ballers In God, Christians in Sport & F3 | Faith Football Fellowship who are doing so much to get alongside players as they use their significant platform to bring glory to Jesus. Praying more Lord 🙏🔥

There's nothing wrong with planning for the future, or being prudent with your finances.

There's nothing wrong with owning good things, taking holidays and enjoying life.

Jesus simply asks whats your hearts desire above all else?

In the light of all eternity, when earthly things pass away... what will be left?

Do we value the goodness of God towards us?

Do we value the word?

Or do we value money & stuff more and neglect the former?

Jesus says we can't do both!

Bonfire Night 🔥🎆

Unforunately, we've had to CANCEL this year's bonfire night at Heeley Parish Church due to safety in the Graveyard.

It's not a decsion we've taken lightly, and we hope to be back up and running next year.

We love welcoming our community for social events and are hoping to arrange another social for late November soon instead - Christmas movie night anyone?? Watch this space 😍 🎬

Our next social is a DISCO on 17th October - 6pm. See you there! 🕺💃
