For over 200 years Greenhill Methodist Church has been serving the community in Greenhill, on the southern edge of Sheffield. It is our aim “to KNOW God, and to GO and SHOW
his love to the people around us”. In other words, we love to worship God, and to get to know Him better as we study His Word and pray together. You can follow the links to find out more about our worship, and our prayer and b

Help needed! 🙏🏼

Our ‘roundabout planters’ have been pleasing people and pollinators all year, with key supporter Kay, managing and modifying them to best effect, but here comes the first big test of the year - the combo of heat and lack of rain! 😳

Can you help? If, when you’re passing, you could just tip even a small bottle of water (or a 1l/2l milk bottle full of water….) into the planters, that would be brilliant! Pour gently over the base of the most-stressed looking plants (that’s the snapdragons at the moment.)

Last year, the plants got completely stressed in the planters and the soil, when we emptied the boxes, (mammoth task!) was utterly bone dry. Please help us to help them this summer (you can’t over-water by the way)

As we look at rising temperatures next week, don’t forget that Greenhill Community Library is a ‘cool hub’

Thanks to the heat-pump powered climate control system installed three years ago, the warm air system (no radiators) can act as air conditioning in the summer providing a comfortable temperature year-round. 😊 So feel free to come and browse, borrow, relax, fix jigsaws, join the coffee morning or any of our other activities in comfort.
