Screening of The People's Emergency Briefing

The National Emergency Briefing campaign aims to get scientists’ briefings on the climate and nature emergency shown to the public.

A Sheffield‑wide screening of 45-min film, The People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by a guided discussion with residents, community groups, local businesses, councillors and MPs — sharing clear evidence and creating space for constructive conversation together.

We had a really special time last month meeting and exploring faith together. We welcomed all ages with some new songs and took part in lots of creative activities. There was space to just be and we have developed our sensory area further for our next session. We have some new ideas to share and will be looking at the topic of prayer. Whether prayer is part of your life or completely new we will be spending time reflecting on life and what is important to us. All welcome to drop in and join us this SATURDAY at 2pm.

Exciting news, Metal Methodists! We are looking for volunteers to take on different roles to support our work.

We're looking for Streaming Leads and Moderators to participate in the Metal Methodist streams. These will be similar to the streams that James leads on a Friday. You can attend an online information session about this soon, so if you would be interested in leading streams or acting as a moderator host for streaming sessions, do get in touch.

We're also looking for a Steering Group Secretary to support our Steering Group meetings. This will be working with our Steering Group Chair and helping with setting up meetings and agendas.

We are also seeking a Safeguarding Officer for the Metal Methodist community. If you feel you can help support us by taking on this role, we'd love to hear from you.

Ward Pots aim to support stronger, successful communities by making grants available to local voluntary and community groups in the wards of Burngreave, Firth Park, Shiregreen & Brightside and Southey. If your organisation can contribute to your local area, you may be eligible for funding.
