*You've Overcome The World*

*_"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4)._*

Our opening scripture presents a truth that should fundamentally change your perspective concerning the world and its influences: you've overcome the world. This is not a promise but a declaration of present truth. You've overcome the world and its crippling and corrupting influences. You've overcome the world's system, its economy, economics, and politics.

This is why it's important as a Christian that you know who you are. Always be mindful of your identity; you're born of God; and for that reason, the Scripture says you've overcome the world! It doesn't say strive to overcome the world; neither does it suggest a progressive attainment of victory.

This has nothing to do with your effort but the result of what Christ has already done. He said in John 16:33, *_"...be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."_* He didn't do it for Himself; He did it for you. Your victory is a present reality rooted in your oneness and identity with Christ and your faith in His finished works.

The world operates through sensory perception and natural reasoning. But as Christians, we live by faith: *_"...as it is written, the just shall live by faith"_* (Romans 1:17). The life in Christ is governed by faith. To walk by faith is to live above the world's system, to live in transcendence over it.

We're not called to fight the world, the flesh or the devil. We've overcome the world. We've crucified the flesh. We're superior to the devil. What we're called to do with the world is to tame it and not to love it: *_"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world..."_*(1 John 2:15). The absence of affection neutralizes influence.

This was what Paul meant when he said by the Spirit in Galatians 6:14, *_"...the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world."_* You're dead to the world. The systems of this world have no claim, no hold, and no defining power over your life because though you're in the world, you're not of this world (John 15:19). *Blessed be God!*

*Dear Father, thank you for the victory I have in Christ. I walk by faith and not by sight, living above the systems and influences of this world. I'm not subject to the world; I've overcome it, and I live in that consciousness today, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

*📖TO THE BIBLE: _John 4:34 "Jesus said to them, 'My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to finish his work."_*

*LET'S TALK ⏩*
Doing the Father's will and finishing His work was the Lord's primary focus and utmost desire; it was His satisfaction and fulfilment. That same Spirit and conviction drove us to complete the full preaching of the Gospel to every nation by the end of 2025. But the mission of the Gospel continues. This means that even as young people, we still have an important part to play.

We must keep preaching and teaching the nations how to live as the Lord instructs in Matthew 28:19-20, *_"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."_* This is the Father's will, and it should be your vision and shape your life's priorities. It should guide the choices you make in school, online, and with your friends.

Habakkuk 2:14 declares, *_"For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."_* Let your life be driven by this vision. Every soul you win, every copy of Rhapsody Of Realities you distribute, every seed you sow in faith into the spread of the Gospel, all contribute to the fulfilment of the great vision of Habakkuk 2:14. Even small actions, like inviting someone to church or sending a message about Jesus, matter.

Therefore, refuse to be distracted. Live for the joy of unveiling the Christ-life, educating them on the transcendence and supreme dominion of the righteousness we possess in Him. Don't let social media, peer pressure, or distractions pull you away from God's purpose for your life. Be committed to discipling the nations, teaching them and establishing them in the truth of the Gospel.

*ALWAYS GO TO CHURCH*

📖 *_"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near" (Hebrews 10:25 NLT)._*

Going to church is very important. It helps us learn about God, grow in faith, and be close to Him. God wants us to meet with other children of His, encourage one another, and be part of His family.

A good example are the early Christians in the Bible. Daily, they came together to pray, sing, and learn from God's Word. They didn't stay home; they wanted to grow stronger in their faith, and help others do the same (Acts 2:42-47).

Church is where you're trained to live God's way and to do His will. When you go to church, you get to hear God's Word, meet leaders who can guide you, and make friends who love God too. So, make church attendance a priority for the rest of this year.

*📖TO THE BIBLE: _1 John 1:3 "that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us, and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ."_*

*LET'S TALK ⏩*
_"Josh, do you ever feel like God is far away?"_ David asked as they walked home from school.

Josh shook his head. _"Not really. When I pray and read my Bible, it feels like I'm talking to my closest friend."_

David smiled. _"So... it's more than church on Sundays. It's real connection."_

_"Exactly,"_ Josh replied. _"That's what fellowship is about."_

And that's what today's opening scripture communicates: *_"That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ"_*(1 John 1:3). We've been brought into a oneness of spirit---an inseparable union with divinity. This means we're spiritually connected to God, not as strangers, but as His own children. We've been called into fellowship---partnership and togetherness with Deity; it's the fellowship of the God-kind.

To have real fellowship with God, you've got to be in His class of being. In simple terms, this means living with the awareness that you carry God's life inside you. This is the reason the Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul, prayed that the believer might be filled with all the fullness of God; it's because of the need for the fellowship of the God-kind. He brought us into fellowship with Himself and with His Son Jesus.

As you grow in your walk with God through prayer, the Word, and obedience, this fellowship becomes stronger. It's not enough to be born of God; you can have a child, a son or a daughter, who is two years old. You can play with that child, but you can't have real fellowship with the child.

Real fellowship entails the rubbing of minds---sharing, talking at higher levels --- where you can understand each other and exchange thoughts. It's like having deep conversations with a close friend who truly understands you. This is the kind of fellowship God has called us into; it's beyond making requests of Him in prayer.

This kind of fellowship is not a one-way communication. Rather, it's when God opens your mind to the realms of the spirit for you to understand things at His level. He gives you ideas, direction, and peace in your heart. It's when you see from the mountain top and communicate from the glory-realm.

*Discern The Source*

*Friday, June 12th 2026*

*_"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan..." (Matthew 16:23)._*

Not everything that sounds right is from God. Not every thought, idea, or opinion that comes nicely is inspired by the Spirit. You must learn to discern. In Matthew 16, for example, the Lord Jesus asked His disciples, *_"...whom say ye that I am?"_*(Matthew 16:15).

Peter answered, *_"...Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God"_* Then the Lord said to Peter, *_"... Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven"_* (Matthew 16:17).

But shortly afterwards, when the Lord Jesus began to speak about His death, Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, *_"...Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee"_*(Matthew 16:22). Notice what happens next: immediately, the Lord *_"... turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men"_* (Matthew 16:23).

This was the same Peter: one moment, he was speaking by revelation from God, the next moment, Satan is speaking through him. But the Lord Jesus discerned the source of the words Peter spoke. He didn't address Peter as a person; He addressed the source and said, *_"Get thee behind me, Satan."_*

That means you must discern the source of every word, inspiration and action. When you speak, it should always be from God. Your thoughts should always be inspired by the Holy Spirit so that your words will synchronize with God's perfect will.

Peter spoke from personal desire. He wanted an earthly kingdom. He wanted a position. He wanted a system that favoured him. What sounded like concern was actually self-interest. So, don't judge things by how they sound; you're to discern them by the Spirit.

Not every good-sounding word or emotional reaction is spiritual. That's why you must stay filled with the Spirit and let the Word of God dwell in you richly. 1 John 4:1 declares, *_"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God...."_* 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 tells us not to despise the Word (prophecies) but to test everything and hold fast to that which is good and edifies. In other words, discern the source.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, thank you for granting me spiritual discernment. I'm not led by appearances or emotions; I'm led by your Spirit. I recognize the source of thoughts and words, and I walk in alignment with your perfect will, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*
