Today we are looking at the story of and what this means for us in our lives today.

The story of Hagar is a poignant biblical narrative of an Egyptian servant who, despite her lack of status, experiences divine protection.

The meets at at 7pm on Mondays and draws on Jesus Christ as the Vine while we are the branches. Our role is to reach into others lives and The Vine is a first step of the parish reaching out into the lives of those who may find attending church difficult for many reasons. Various different themes are studied throughout the year, lasting between 4-6 weeks per theme. Each week will follow the current theme, but people are able to attend one or all weeks as each individual meeting is in effect a ‘stand-alone’ study.

The group use a variety of methods to understand Scripture and biblical themes.

Everyone is welcome to attend and we hope at some point you may find a topic we are covering that interests you.

We are delighted to be able to share with you the exciting announcement that was made yesterday:

"Bishop Rose is pleased to announce that The Revd Daniel Corcoran, currently Community and Mission Priest, Faversham Benefice, in the Diocese of Canterbury, has been appointed as Priest in Charge of Eastchurch with Leysdown & Harty and West Sheppey benefices, subject to the usual procedures.
The date for the licensing occasion by Bishop Rose will be announced in due course.
Please pray for Daniel (or Dan) as he takes up his new ministry."

We are very much looking forward to welcoming Revd Dan and his family to our island and to the exciting times ahead.
