1st Minster Girls' and Boys' Brigades

1st Minster Girls' and Boys' Brigades 1st Minster Girl's and Boys' Brigades are uniformed Christian youth groups which run for young girls and boys aged 4 and upwards at Minster Bethel Church.

1st Minster Brigades meet weekly on Mondays at Minster Bethel Church Hall; 17:30-19:15 for school years Reception-5 and 19:00-20:30 for school years 6 and upwards. Our GB company has been running for over 60 years - our 60th anniversary being in 2012, our BB company has been running for over 25 years, and the band has been running since the '60s. There are many different opportunities available to

you through the brigades, such as joining the band and doing the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, as well as making new friends of all ages. The uniform makes us all the same and joins us to many other companies across the globe and earning awards gives us goals. Older members are given the opportunity to lead sessions and take part in the running of the companies by becoming young leaders, then officers, all which can then be used on CVs and university applications.
