St.Thomas' Church Moorside St. Thomas' C of E Church Moorside Oldham hosts lots of community groups and runs various fund-raising events in aid of the Church and its groups. and 8.30 a.m.

Our hall is used by many community groups and is available to hire through [email protected] Sunday communion services 10.30 a.m. on the second Sunday of the month (10.30 a.m. service a Parade service, no communion). The Church Hall can be hired for events - main hall £20/hr, the loung £15/hr inclusive of heating, lighting and use of the kitchen. We are having a celebration of our volunteers on Sunday, 5th July 2026 in St Thomas Church Hall between 12 and 2 pm. There will be a buffet and give us all a time to chat and relax for a couple of hours. We thank Action Together for providing funding for this event and we thank all our wonderful volunteers. We couldn't do all that we do without you all. 👋👋👋. We will also celebrate our 2 new Patrons.

If anyone would like to volunteer with us, there will be details of roles provided and a chance to find out more from our volunteers.

**** CONFIRMATION CLASSES

Apologies for any confusion but just to clarify that the Confirmation classes will be held at St Marks Church Heyside between 6 and 7 pm on the following Sunday evenings:

7th June 14th June 21st June 28th June 5th July
Plus there will be a mop up session on 12th July.

The rehearsal for the Confirmation Service will be held on 6th September at St John the Baptist, Hey.

The Confirmation Service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, 13th September 2026 at John the Baptist Hey. Bishop Mark of Middleton will be presiding.

Please let Revd Cait Walker or the churchwardens (Corinne and Peter) know if you would like to be Confirmed. 🙏
