UPDATE - THE CHURCH IS AVAILABLE TOMORROW MORNING SO WE'LL MEET THERE AT THE USUAL TIME - 10am for brews and chat. Please share this update with any hardy souls who might have been planning to come along to Miss Victoria's Refreshment Gardens.

It looks like another soggy weather forecast for tomorrow morning, Thursday 11 June - so the cosy cabin, colourful gazebos and hot drinks will be very welcome at our "Stepping Stones" session in Miss Victoria's Refreshments Garden.

Just get on those wellies and wet weather gear, again, and meet up for fun at 10am - apparently there's another heatwave on its way - so perhaps next Thursday we'll be covering up with suncream!

Ann and her team made us very welcome last Thursday and we did enjoy the puddles!

Sorry we can't meet back in church as the painters will be busy, clambering up ladders.

A huge "thank you" to everyone who supported and helped make our Langcliffe Teas session, last Sunday, such a success. We raised the amazing total of £782.20 for Church Funds. Our 'star bakers' created a wonderful spread of homemade treats and the 'Cinderellas' in the kitchen worked tirelessly. Thank you to you all - what a great team!

There's another chance to support your local parish church on Saturday morning when Chris will be busy cooking delicious Bacon Butties, Sausage Sarnies or the 'full English', if you prefer. Refreshments available from 10am till 1pm. Do call in for a bite to eat, meet up with friends or sit and browse the papers over a cuppa.

Many thanks to Ann and her friendly team who made us ('Stepping Stones') feel so welcome this morning. We did so enjoy the puddles and sandpit despite the far from "flaming June" weather!
The cabin was a lovely, comfy, dry venue for our story and singing time. We're meeting in Miss Victoria's Refreshments Gardens for the rest of the Summer Term - let's hope the sun shines next Thursday. All families with babies and toddlers welcome.

Who decided that for this half of the Summer Term the "Stepping Stones", group for families with babies and toddlers, would meet up in Miss Victoria's Refreshments Garden on Thursday mornings ????
So for all hardy souls, get out the wellies and wet weather gear and we'll see you tomorrow morning round about 10am - we could be "Singing in the Rain" and having fun!

All 3 congregations of the Castleberg Benefice - St Alkelda's, Giggleswick, Holy Trinity, Rathmell and Holy Ascension, Settle - will be worshipping together on Sunday 31 May at 10am at Holy Ascension. Please make a note of the earlier time if you're a "regular" at Holy Ascension.

The service will be led by Revd Julie Clarkson and everyone is warmly invited to join us on this 5th Sunday of the month.

Stay for refreshments and chat afterwards. It'll be grand to see you.

The weather looks set to be a bit cooler this weekend so why not dodge the "scattered showers" and take a gentle walk up to Langcliffe Institute where the Holy Ascension catering team, their friends and supporters will be serving delicious, homemade refreshments at the popular "Langcliffe Teas" on Sunday 31 May. Looks like the weather's set fair for the Whit weekend especially on Whit Sunday/Pentecost so why not call in at Miss Victoria's Refreshment Garden on Sunday afternoon (24 May) and join the celebration organised by the Churches Together in Settle and District.

Everyone's invited - people of faith or none, 'church folk' or folk with no affiliation to a church. All welcome.

This is the last session before the half term holiday and from Thursday 4 June we'll meet up in Miss Victoria's Gardens, Victoria Hall, Settle.
