It is deeply affirming to know that the whole Edinburgh Diocese is holding Wilf’s Place and all it’s ministry and outreach in prayer 🙏

We encourage the whole Diocese to pray together each day: for and with each other.

Today we pray for Bishop Dagmar, Wilf’s Place, including Tim H, Mission to Seafarers Scotland, including Tim T, staff at the General Synod Office, and all who work or volunteer as a chaplain.

At Wilf’s Place this week we made a deep dive into all things Trinitarian. We read the Great Commission at the end of Matthew’s Gospel. We even tackled the daunting Athanasius Creed. Phew 😅. One of our ladies thought 💭 it was an example of ‘mansplaining’ but its thoroughness is commendable! And of course, we enjoyed home baking and some fun 🤩 worksheets.

Tim Hatton says “it’s a pleasure to be a member of this cohort, continuing our formation, making sense of ministry in context.”

The Initial Ministerial Education Phase 2 (IME2) Cohort, those in their second phase of formation with the Scottish Episcopal Institute, gathered together at the Conforti Centre (Xaverian Missionaries UK) in Coatbridge between 15 - 17 May 2026 for their annual residential weekend.

Rev. Godwin Chimara, Assistant Curate at St. John's Episcopal Church Aberdeen and St. James' Episcopal Church Aberdeen shares his reflections of the weekend, which can be read here: https://sei.scot/news/ime2-residential-weekend-2026/

Praying 🙏 for our dear brothers and sisters in Christ at St Cuthbert’s Episcopal Church Hawick

We encourage the whole Diocese to pray together each day: for and with each other.

Today we pray for Bishop Mark, Bishop-Elect Dagmar and St Cuthbert’s Episcopal Church Hawick: for Andi, the vestry, and the congregation. We also pray for a few of their activities and events: their “Open Church” events; their monthly Taizé service; and their collaboration with Wilf’s Place.
