The church is well worth a visit, not only for its stunning interior but also for its quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

Tomorrow (Sat 12th) we are holding a Coffee and Cake morning with a table top sale from 10.30am - 1.30pm. £3 for coffee and cake, cash and card payments accepted. All welcome, parking available in the Manor farm drive. All proceeds will go towards creating disabled access to the church.

Service on Sunday at 11am. All welcome!

Tomorrow the 30th of July is the 8th Sunday after Trinity.
The readings are; The First Book of Kings 3:5-12; Romans 8:26-39; the Gospel of Matthew 13:31-33,44-52.
The Collect is Almighty Lord and everlasting God, we beseech you to direct, sanctify and govern both our hearts and bodies in the ways of your laws and the works of your commandments; that through your most mighty protection, both here and ever, we may be preserved in body and soul; through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
On each 5th Sunday there is one service for the whole Benefice. Tomorrow the service is at St Helen’s starting at 10am.
Saturday the 12th of August rescheduled from the 25th of July we are holding a coffee and cake morning in the church grounds to raise funds to install disabled access to the church from the car park. All welcome. There will be additional parking available.

Tomorrow the 2nd of July is the 4th Sunday after Trinity. The readings are; Jeremiah 28:5-9; Romans 6:12-end; the Gospel of Matthew 10:40-end.
The Collect is; O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that with you as our ruler and guide we may so pass through things temporal that we lose not our hold on things eternal; grant this, Heavenly Father, for our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
The next service at Yaverland is on Monday the 3rd of July at 6pm for the Feast of St Thomas. All welcome at any of our services.
The church is open at weekends even when there isn’t a service.
Bus routes that go past the church are the number 8, the Downs Breezer and the Island coast Breezer.

Tomorrow the 14th of May is the 6th Sunday of Easter. The readings are; Acts 17:22-31; 1 Peter 3:13-22; the Gospel of John 14:15-21.
The Collect is; God our redeemer, you have delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of your Son: grant, that as by his death he has called us to life, so by his continual presence in us he may raise us to eternal joy; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
The service tomorrow is at 11am.
Monday the 15th is the feast day of St Matthias. There will be a said Eucharist at Yaverland on Monday at 6pm.
Everyone is welcome to any of our services. We now have a toilet which is open when the church is being used.

The readings are; Genesis 1:1-2:3, the first account of creation. Romans 8:18-25. ; the Gospel of Matthew 6:25-end.
The Collect is; Almighty God, you have created the heavens and the earth and made us in your own image: teach us to discern your hand in all your works and your likeness in all your children; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit reigns supreme over all things, now and for ever. Amen.
The our Service at Yaverland is on Sunday the 26th of February at 11am.
On the 22nd of February which is Ash Wednesday the beginning of Lent, the will be a service at St Helen’s church for all four parishes starting at 6pm.

Tomorrow the 29th of January the Church keeps the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, also known as Candlemas. The actual date is the 2nd of February, but the feast is transferred to the nearest Sunday. This feast comes 40 days after Christmas.
There is a joint service four all the Benefice tomorrow at 10am at St Peter’s Seaview.
The readings for the day are; Malachi 3:1-5, Hebrews 2:14-18, the Gospel of Luke 2:22-40. The Collect is; Almighty and ever-living God, clothed in majesty, whose beloved Son was this day presented in the Temple, in substance of our flesh: grant that we may be presented to you with pure and clean hearts, by your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
The next service at Yaverland is Sunday the 12th of February at 11am.

Amen.
Our next service at Yaverland is on Wednesday the 25th January at 6pm for the Conversion of St Paul.
Sunday the 29th of January we have a joint service for all four parishes at St Peter’s Seaview at 10am for the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, also known as Candlemas.

Tomorrow the 8th of January is 1st Sunday of Epiphany also the Baptism of Christ. Our service at Yaverland tomorrow is at 11am.
The readings are Isaiah 42:1-9; Acts of the Apostles 10:34-43; the Gospel of Matthew 3:13-17.
The Collect is; Eternal Father, who at the baptism of Jesus revealed him to be your Son, anointing him with the Holy Spirit: grant to us, who are born again by water and the Spirit, that we may be faithful to our calling as your adopted children; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
The church continues to be open at weekends. Our crib scenes will stay up until the Feast of the Presentation on the 2nd of February.

Monday the 26th at 11am said Eucharist for the Feast of St Stephen.
Wednesday the 28th at 11am said Eucharist for the Feast of the Holy Innocents.
