First of the strawberries and raspberries harvested from the paddock this year and looks like they’ll be plenty more to come!

As you can see, everything is coming along in the paddock - strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb, apples and pears then peas, beans, carrots, beetroot, sprouts and lots of potatoes! A few sunflowers for summer colour too. Time for a cuppa and a scone ☀️

A group of us are visiting Clitheroe UR Church to learn more about achieving gold eco church status. A great start with lovely cakes!

Today we planted broad beans, carrots, beetroot, cauliflower and dwarf beans in our raised bed and sunflowers in pots. Ian was busy power washing the container in readiness for painting. Another busy day in the paddock!

Christ is risen! Alleluia! A moving Easter vigil service at Holy Angels tonight, starting with the lighting of the Paschal candle outdoors, bringing the light of Christ into the church. He is risen indeed. Alleluia!!

How lovely to welcome 21 people to Holy Angels for a quiet, contemplative Tenebrae service as part of Holy Week. Please join us tomorrow at 8pm for the Easter Vigil service, starting outside with the lighting of the Paschal candle bringing the light of the risen Christ into church.

Everyone is very welcome to come and join us for one or all of our Easter services. We start with stations of the cross, a retelling of the Easter story; Tuesday our usual Eucharist service; Friday a new service, Tenebrae, that features quiet reflection, music and readings and the gradual extinguishing of candles until the church is in total darkness; and The Easter Vigil, starting outside at sunset with the light of the Easter candle being brought into church as we proclaim the resurrection of Christ.

It was a joy to welcome fellow Christians from Churches on the Height at our service to start the week of prayer for Christian unity.

Join us on Sunday 18th January for an ecumenical service to mark the start of the week of prayer for Christian unity. Service starts at 5pm at Holy Angels with refreshments provided afterwards. All Churches on the Height will be involved in the service and everyone will be welcomed.
