Loving St Helens

Group of Christian volunteers with a heart for our local community. Working together to help keep people safe in the night time economy. We offer practical support and a listening ear, we’ll help you get to a taxi rank or office, wait with you if you’ve already called one but are feeling vulnerable waiting. Ladies if you’re struggling with your heels we’ll offer flip-flops to ease your aching feet and we carry water, sweets or biscuits and basic first aid. We will call and wait for an ambulance if needed and we aim to defuse potentially aggressive situations we come across wherever possible. We just want to help keep our town safe at night and help people feel cared for whatever their situation in that moment. We’re practical Christians, sharing God’s love through actions, creating community spirit and a caring presence on the streets at night. We are recruiting and training more volunteer Street Pastors and as a charity we are constantly fund-raising.
