Our vision at St James is to GROW in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
to WITNESS for Him in the parish and beyond and CARE for those in need. Our worship pattern reflects the congregation mix, from early morning 'hi tech' Family Praise services to traditional Common Worship services, a warm welcome awaits all who come to worship. The children at PramPushers have been exploring Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish, John 21:1-15. Exploring the tuff tray and creating their own fish in the craft 🐠
Jesus’ friends had been out fishing all night and caught nothing. Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. He told them to put their nets out again. This time they could not lift their nets as they were so heavy due to being full of fish! They then recognised the man on the shore to be Jesus.

Two of Jesus’ friends were walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus and Jesus appeared and was walking with them too . They only recognize him when he breaks bread with them.

Today is Maundy Thursday, the day we remember the moment Jesus broke bread with His disciples. As we reflect on this day, may we remember His love poured out for us and draw near to Him with grateful hearts.
