St Peter's Church, St Albans

St Peter's Church, St Albans St Peter's in St Albans. By
personal prayer and study we will develop our own faith and our ability to
nurture others.

Our church has long been a place of hospitality as one the city’s ancient gateway churches and people have worshipped here for over a thousand years. Living God’s Transforming Love – in St Peter’s, in our community and in our lives.

• Everyone is included – St Peter’s is a welcoming church where all who come are
accepted and valued. This means we foster an environment which does not
discriminate

on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical
ability, race or sexuality. Everyone is welcome.

• Loving and generous service is celebrated – In continuity with the witness of
faithful believers at St Peter’s across more than one thousand years, we will
acknowledge, celebrate and affirm their legacy by being committed to serving
others today.

• Faith is nurtured and developed – We will encourage, teach and walk alongside
all who seek to be disciples of Christ according to our own gifts and capacity. We embrace our special responsibility to cherish and encourage
the faith of children and young people.

• Everyone is inspired to reach their God-given potential – By our example, with
our encouragement and through our teaching we will seek to inspire all who
come to St Peter’s to reach their potential as disciples and as human beings
made in God’s image, and to live God’s gift of life in all its fullness. ASSOCIATED FACEBOOK ACCOUNTS

I’ve just been reading Alan Milburn’s report: Young People and Work. He has been looking into the experience of NEETs – Young people Not in Education, Employment or Training. Nearly 1 million (1 in 8) young people aged 16-24 are in this situation and the number is rising. Milburn not only desc...

Read Margaret Tinsley's reflection: “In the native language of each…” — a short piece on the Day of Pentecost, how the disciples were understood across languages, and what that miracle means for us today. Read the full post: https://wix.to/RjlYxOR

In the 10am service yesterday, Em focussed on the way the disciples were understood by all those around them, all those who spoke different languages. Traditionally, all were using the same language and understanding each other until, as a result of their arrogance in building the Tower of Babel, th...
