Christian Aid Plant Sale Weekend 16/17 May

Thank you to all who donated plants, bought them and manned the stall over last weekend. Across the South St Albans churches we raised more than £800. This was a fine example of local churches working together.

South St Albans Churches Plant Sale This Weekend!!

You can help by donating plants or seedlings for others to buy or come along, browse and pick up a few green-fingered bargains. Please spread the word to friends and neighbours, too. Plant sale dates and locations : St Albans URC-Greenwood, Watford Road, AL2 3JY. Friday 15 May, 3–5pm, St Stephen’s, Watling Street, St Albans, AL1 2PT. Saturday 16 May, 9am–12 noon , St Bartholomew’s, 49 Vesta Avenue, St Albans, AL1 2PE. Saturday 16 May, 5.30–7.30pm and Sunday 17 May, 9–11am; St Julian’s, 3 Abbot’s Avenue, St Albans, AL1 2HY. Sunday 17 May, 12-3pm

IN MAY - THE MONTH OF MARY - ROSARY

We will be praying the Rosary in the Marian Chapel before the weekend Masses during this month, when we honour the Mother of God.

This will start at 5.40pm on Saturdays and 9.10am on Sundays. Rosaries and prayer cards available in the porch. Please join in!

St Bart's Summer Gathering , 12.30 - 4pm, Saturday, 4 July 2026 - Save the Date!!

St Bart’s Food Bank

Staples always needed - long life items (milk and fruit juice), tinned items (fruit, veg, meat/ham, fish, complete meals i.e. chilli con carne, puddings), rice/pasta/noodles and cooking sauces, coffee/squash, cereals and jam. Thank you for all your generosity.

South St Albans Churches Walk of Witness, Good Friday

Over 30 walkers joined the South St Albans Walk of Witness on Good Friday in the drizzle. An excellent welcome was received at each of the 3 churches visited and hospitality at St Bart’s was much appreciated. Thanks to all involved to share a most poignant and sociable moment. Ecumenical Group
