When God answers !
Introduction
God promised to answer when we call upon Him as His children because He is NOT A LIAR. For examples, the Bible declares in:
1. Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
2. St. John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
3. St. Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
4. Numbers 14:28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Hindrances to Answered Prayers
1. Sin Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
2. Praying amiss / Ulterior Motives e.g Balam and Balak …Numbers 23:23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
3. Lack of faith…James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed…
4. Lacking the Required Power/Authority: St. Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
When God answers
1. Answers can come through WINDS e.g Red Sea was parted by the blast of Eastern wind. Exodus 15:8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea…
2. Answers can manifest through EARTHQUAKE/SHOUTING e.g The Acts 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed., Wall of Jericho sank by the great SHOUTING..
3. Answers can manifest through FIRE e.g Elijah on mount Carmel ….1 Kings 18:38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench…
4. A STILL SMALL VOICE..e.g The Prayer of Hannah and her testimony, Elijah when God wanted him to set things in place
Altar call
God is waiting for you to be His own so He can take over your battle. He is waiting to give you instructions and directions in life. What are you waiting for???
