🇨🇭A little latergram from the Conference in Switzerland.

Among the many conversations about Bible engagement, mission and creativity, our designer .ausland shared this insight:

“Today’s narrative says that you need to create everything, and you need to create it quickly – and therefore probably alone.”

The challenge is that when we create in isolation, we can lose touch with the very people we’re trying to reach. We stop listening. We stop learning. And eventually, people disengage from what we’ve made.

Jack’s encouragement?

“Create considerately. Create collectively. And therefore, probably slowly.”

It’s a counter-cultural idea in a world obsessed with speed, but perhaps some of the most impactful work happens when we take time to listen, collaborate and create with others rather than simply for them.

“Who is this last Gospel for?”

Last autumn, in the pouring rain, Bashie from Canley Community Church joined two teammates from YWAM Coventry to go door-to-door, giving away copies of Mark’s Gospel.

As they reached the final few homes, they stopped to pray. Who was this Gospel for? Was it someone behind one of the doors? Or perhaps someone they hadn’t even met yet?

A few moments later, they found themselves speaking to a workman on a landing. They introduced themselves, shared why they were there, and had the opportunity to present the Gospel to him.

The conversation ended with him asking Jesus to save him and praying for his children and family.

The team had spent the afternoon knocking on doors, but in the end the conversation that mattered wasn’t behind a front door at all. It happened on a landing with someone they hadn’t planned to meet.

As churches across the UK continue to share the Gospel in simple ways, stories like this remind us that we never quite know where a conversation might lead.

🇨🇭 This week, two of the creative minds behind many of the Great Gospel Giveaway resources are representing Hope Together at the Conference in Switzerland.
ausland and .s.j.christian have helped design and illustrate Gospels that have now been distributed more than 170,000 times across the UK, putting Scripture into people’s hands and helping spark conversations about Jesus.

At the conference, they’re meeting with churches, ministries and mission partners from across Europe to explore how creativity, collaboration and God’s Word can work together to reach new people.

We’re incredibly grateful for our partnership with Biblica and for the opportunity to share some of the story behind the resources we’ve created together.

Because every Gospel distributed starts with a simple idea, a blank page, and a desire to help someone encounter Jesus through Scripture. 📖

🇨🇭 This week, .ausland and .s.j.christian are representing Hope Together at the Conference in Switzerland.

It’s been a brilliant opportunity to hear how churches, ministries and mission organisations across Europe are helping people engage with God’s Word in their own contexts and languages.

We’re especially grateful for our partnership with Biblica, whose support has helped make resources like the Great Gospel Giveaway possible. Together, we’ve now seen over 170,000 Gospels distributed across the UK, helping churches put Scripture into people’s hands and spark conversations about Jesus.

We’re looking forward to sharing more from the conference over the coming days.

A stranger gave Pat a small Bible when she was a child.
