The Committee for Brother Michael’s Cause (CBMC) warmly invites you to St David’s Metropolitan Cathedral, Cardiff, on Friday, 5th June 2026, for a special Mass celebrating the life of Brother Michael Strode on his 103rd birthday.

Brother Michael was the founder of HCPT and inspired generations through his faith, humility and devotion to helping disabled and disadvantaged children experience pilgrimage to Lourdes.

Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Mark O’Toole of Cardiff-Menevia, followed by refreshments afterwards at Cornerstone.

All are welcome.

Happy International Nurses Day! 💙

Last year, we caught up with some of the amazing student nurses who travelled with HCPT to Lourdes, supported by the Lady Ryder of Warsaw Memorial Trust.

In this video, they share what the experience meant to them, the joy of caring for others on pilgrimage, and how becoming part of the HCPT family impacted them both personally and professionally.

Their compassion, kindness, and dedication shone through in so many everyday moments throughout the week in Lourdes.

What an inspiring story from St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School. 💛

Pupils recently took part in a sponsored walk to raise money for HCPT, helping fund a child’s pilgrimage to Lourdes. Together, the school raised over £1,500 through the challenge, showing how even small acts of kindness can make a huge difference.

HCPT pilgrimages create unforgettable experiences for children and young people who may otherwise never have the opportunity to travel to Lourdes, giving them friendship, joy, care, and memories that last a lifetime.

A huge well done to everyone involved.

The charity provides holidays to the renowned pilgrimage destination of Lourdes for disabled and disadvantaged children.

This week we are delighted to be hosting two school groups on pilgrimage in Lourdes, staying at Hosanna House.

Each group has created its own programme for the week and is fully immersed in the life of Lourdes. From joining the Torchlight Procession, to spending time at the Grotto where Our Lady appeared to Saint Bernadette Soubirous, and visiting the places connected to her life and the apparitions, it promises to be a special and faith-filled experience.

We welcome Year 10 pupils from Wigan and a Year 7 group from Coatbridge in Scotland, and hope they have a truly memorable pilgrimage.

💚 A message of thanks from group 105 💚

As we return home and spend time resting after a very busy and joyful week, we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our pilgrimage so special.

🌟 To our 5 amazing youngsters – you were an absolute pleasure to have with us. The friendships, bonds, laughter, and love you shared throughout the week were truly inspiring and reminded us all what this pilgrimage is about.

🙏 To our helpers and volunteers – thank you for your dedication, commitment, and the time you gave so generously before and during the pilgrimage. Your care and kindness were at the heart of everything we did.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 To parents and guardians - thank you for entrusting us with the care of your children. Your trust means more to us than words can say.

🤍 To our supporters far and wide, thank you for helping with fundraising, planning, prayer, and ongoing support. Every contribution, big or small, helped make this pilgrimage unforgettable.
