Following our service we help a really joyful meeting where we discussed new ways of reaching into the community and bringing people into the church. We had a number of ideas so watch this space. But we are always open to more ideas and suggestions so please get in touch if you can think of ways we can better serve you and the community around us.

Today's service was about love, hope and faith. We heard of the early life of Abraham who was originally called Abram. He was asked by God to pack up and move out of his home country. He had hope, that what God was asking of him would be the right path. We heard of a woman, who was struggling with illness and was bleeding constantly, she had faith Jesus would help and she touched his cloak. And we consider who Jesus spent his time with on earth, people who were regarded as outcasts, very disliked by society and we're seen as less than others, but Jesus showed love to these people.

So may we give hope to the hopeless, love to the unloved and show our faith so others of no faith may see it and share in it with us ❤️

God bless you all this week

We had a lovely service this morning and were joined by our Brs and Srs from Trinity Methodist. We heard about the importance of being one but not all the same, embracing each other's differences but celebrating our oneness in God and in God's love.

The Royton Moravian Church flower show was held today and was thoroughly enjoyed. It began with a quiz which involved both intellectual knowledge of flowers and spring, but some creative challenges too. We then shared a lovely afternoon tea whilst having a chat. The quiz answers and creative challenges were shared too which led to lots of laughter and love for one another ❤️

Current events in the world this week center on ongoing international peace efforts in the Middle East, deepening humanitarian and hunger crises in Africa, and a multi-country public health concern aboard a cruise ship. We pray for peace, love for one another and kindness to those who are worried, struggling or in need.

Today's service was to celebrate our church anniversary. Salem and Westwood Moravian Church have been serving the area of Greater Manchester for 362 years, if you combine both of them together. You can see from the pictures the love, laughter and fellowship we share together.

We looked at the passage where Jesus is described as our cornerstone which is very fitting to the celebration of our church anniversary. Jesus is always there to support us and it is he who we look to for advice and support. We were reminded of this but also that what makes our church is not the bricks, not the building itself, but the people within it. We all have gifts and we are asked to use them to do God's work. May you have the confidence to do that with Jesus as your cornerstone ❤️

Anyone interested in Christianity, being a part of a community and using your gifts are all welcome. Future services have been shared in the previous post ❤️
