Today is National Day of Prayer for Schools in the UK. If you would like to pray through the day, here is a simple guide on what and who to pray for.
We ask that God goes with all of our children, young people, school leaders, teachers, teaching assistants and staff as they start the academic year, for his peace to settle any worries and for his joy to fill those corridors and classrooms.

A huge thank you to everyone who has given so generously in sponorship in response to the Walk With The Northern Saints Pilgrimage to Lindisfarne.

Revd Liz walked a total of 342.56miles from 31 May to 31 August and Lynda Hamer walk 200 miles in the same time!

So far we have raised an increbile £1900! Half of the total we raise will go to Dr Kershaw's Hospice It is still possible to donate via the link on this shared post.

On Sunday 30 August we celebrated St Aidan in our Sunday morning choral Eucharist and said prayers of thanksgiving for the Eucharist.

On Monday 31 August a group of pilgrims joined Revd Liz as we walked 6.78 miles from St Anne's Church Royton to St Aidan's Church Sudden, Rochdale. We were welcomed by Revd Sydwell Isaac and some of his congregation and offered wonderful hospitality when we arrived.

In total I have walked a toral of 342.56 miles on this pilgrimage since 31 May when the pilgrimage began. It has been a long and arduous journey but we made it to the light and peace of the Holy Island of Lindisfarne accompanied by the Island Saints along the way!
