Therfield Chapel

Therfield Chapel Join us at 10.30am every Sunday. All are welcome to come and check us out regardless of baggage or beliefs.

We’re an independent evangelical church made up of varying ages and backgrounds from the surrounding towns and villages who are seeking to know and follow Jesus, and to help others do the same. Our service begins at 10.30am but our doors are open from 10am every Sunday for coffee and light breakfast snacks followed by music, prayers and praise. We then seek to faithfully, boldly and intelligently

teach the Bible in a way that honours Jesus and helps people know and follow him. We have provision for children during the talk where children aged 0-10 are welcome to join our youth leaders for bible-based games and crafts. Please keep an eye out on social media for any more information on our weekly events as well as via our newsletter. Our services are also live streamed live on this page. If you 'like' or 'follow' us, you should receive a notification when we are about to go live. You do not need a Facebook account to view the service. The whole service is then posted on Facebook to be viewed again at a later time if you wish as well as on YouTube.

God’s not threatened by sin. It’s not something he needs to stay away from because it’s a threat to him.

The light is not threatened by the darkness, light consumes the darkness, life swallows up death.

What Jesus are we following?  The Jesus as revealed in the scriptures, or Jesus as we imagine?

God’s not threatened by sin. It’s not something He needs to stay away from because it’s a threat to Him.

The light is not threatened by the darkness. Light consumes darkness.

Yet in order to keep His people from being consumed, God says, “I’m gonna keep my distance.” But He is also the place where we experience fullness of life.

If we find that we have stumbled, or fallen down flat completely, it’s not game over. Because sin is seen to, fully and finally in Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit isn’t just a power to be dispensed or a feeling you get when you sing songs, but a person.

The Holy Spirit can be grieved, lied to, resisted and even quenched.

He knows our weaknesses and turns our wordless groans into prayers that are in line with His will.

He gives joy. He reveals to us the wisdom of God’s Good News.
