New song for Sunday:)

O Lord, How Many Foes Arise /Psalm 3 (to the tune of Amazing Grace MP31)

O Lord, how many foes arise,
Against me day by day;
So many say with scornful voice,
“God will not save,” they say.

But You, O Lord, my shield and strength,
Your glory ever near;
You lift my head when I cry out,
And bend Your ear to hear.

I lie me down and sleep in peace,
Then wake again secure;
For You, O Lord, sustain my life—
Your guarding hand is sure.

Though countless foes surround my path,
I will not yield to fear;
Arise, O Lord! Deliver me—
My God, my help is near.

[Last verse in slightly higher key]:

Salvation comes from You alone,
The Lord of grace and might;
Your blessing rests upon Your own,
Who walk within Your light.

(Repeat last 2 lines to end)

New song for Sunday :)

To the tune of the carol "O Holy Night" carol...

Verse 1 — (Deliverance)

O Lord, I wai-ted, heart bowed low before You,
In silent storms when hope felt far away;
You heard my cry, You did not turn from sor-row,
You drew me up and set my feet to stay.
From sink-ing sand onto a rock un-sha-ken,
You gave a song where only grief had been;
Now all my trust, my life, my heart awa-ken —
Your mer-cy turned my mour-ning into song.
Fore-ver Yours, my Sa-viour and my King.

Verse 2 — (Surrender)

This weary world lies wrapped in fear and sha-dow,
Its fra-gile hopes like fa-ding autumn light;
Yet You ask for more than words or empty wor-ship,
You want my heart to walk within Your light.
So write Your truth u-pon my will-ing spi-rit,
And lead my steps a-long Your nar-row way;
In e'vry tri-al help my soul to hear it —
Your fa-ith-ful love will be my strength each day.
Fore-ver Yours, my Sa-viour and my King.

Verse 3 — (Ongoing Need)

Though troubles rise and fears still gather round me,
And my own fai-lures weigh upon my soul;
Still You are near, my help and my defen-der,
My God, my hope, the One who makes me whole.
You won’t delay, my Sav-iour and Deliv'rer,
My heart still waits, my trust remains in You;
The poor in spi-rit find their joy fore-ver,
For Yo-ou are faithful, ma-king all things new.
Fore-ver Yours, my Sa-viour and my King.
