St Barnabas Parish Church, Tunbridge Wells

St Barnabas Parish Church, Tunbridge Wells St Barnabas Parish Church of England, Tunbridge Wells St Barnabas’ is a Church of England church following the Anglo-Catholic tradition of worship.

It is in the Diocese of Rochester under the care of the Bishop of Richborough. Our style of worship emphasises liturgy, ritual, and pastoral care for the Parish and Community. At our services you can expect to see ministers in robes, servers wearing black cassocks and white cottas, incense, bells, acolytes, and traditional hymns. It is a joyous blend of serenity and celebration. The focal point of

Parish life is the Parish Mass and Sunday School. Held at 11:00 each Sunday, Mass lasts about an hour, and is followed by tea/coffee or a glass of wine and the opportunity to meet and greet other members of the congregation. Children are most welcome to St Barnabas. Sunday School is open to children of all ages. Children begin in Church before being invited to the front for a prayer then retiring to the Church Hall. Here they craft, play, and hear stories which help them learn about Jesus, the Bible and being a Christian today. The children return to the Church during the offertory to enjoy the Eucharist with the rest of the congregation. Everyone is welcome – whatever your background, tradition, experience, or interest.
