The Flame Community Church

The Flame Community Church We have prayerfully put that mission into 3 objectives for Flame;

To Reach the LOST with the Gospel of Jesus where ever they are.

The Flame Community Church, is more than just a Place, its a group of people being made into a family...All with our own different struggles in life, different abilities and desires, but all loving God and more than that All Loved by God... As a bible believing, Jesus following Church, we have been called to a mission,

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of

the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you

This mission drives everything we do, everything we put on…It drives us to seek to make opportunities for the mission to be worked out amongst us. To Grow in our Love for God, His Heart, His Will, His Kingdom, each other. To Move in the Gifts of the Spirit in greater measure and intensity – Always focussed on God, used for His Glory and Kingdom alone. As a church we aim to EQUIP, ENCOURAGE and EMPOWER every member, young and old, who is a part of this family to be able to work out the mission in their own lives but also as a part of the Flame. As such our Vision statement is this,

Locally, Nationally, Globally, to take the gospel to all, moving in the power of the Spirit and growing in our love for God and his Kingdom.

Who could you invite this Sunday?

A neighbour?
A friend?
A work colleague?
A family member?

Most people who come to church for the first time don't come because of an advert.

They come because someone cared enough to invite them.

One invitation.
One conversation.
One act of courage.

Who knows what God might do?

Take a moment and pray for someone today.

Then simply ask:

"Would you like to come to church with me this Sunday?"

❀️ You bring the invitation.
πŸ”₯ God brings the transformation.

Day 3 – Look at Jesus ✝️✨
πŸ“– Bible Reading

John 14:9
"Whoever has seen me has seen the Father."

πŸ’ Thought for Today

If you've ever wondered what God is like, look at Jesus.

Look at how He treated people. Look at His compassion for the hurting. Look at His patience with the struggling. Look at His courage in confronting sin. Look at His willingness to sacrifice Himself for others.

Jesus didn't simply teach about Godβ€”He revealed God.

Sometimes people imagine God as angry, distant, or impossible to approach. Yet when we read the Gospels, we see Jesus welcoming children, healing the sick, forgiving sinners, and reaching out to those everyone else ignored.

That's what God is like.

Jesus came so that we could know God personally, not just know facts about Him. Through His death and resurrection, He opened the way for us to be reconciled to the Father.

🚢 Application

Read one chapter from one of the Gospels today (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John). Pay attention to how Jesus treats people and ask yourself: "What does this show me about God?"

πŸ™ Prayer

Jesus, thank You for showing me what God is like. Help me to follow Your example and trust You more each day. Amen.

What if there is more to life than simply getting through the week?

More than work.
More than bills.
More than stress.
More than trying to hold everything together.

What if the longing in your heart is there for a reason?

At Flame we believe every person was created by God, loved by God, and invited into a relationship with Him through Jesus.

You don't need to know the Bible.
You don't need to have all the answers.
You don't need to pretend you've got it all together.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

Why not join us this Sunday?

You might just discover the thing you've been searching for all along.

Day 2 – A Father Who Loves β€οΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦
πŸ“– Bible Reading

Romans 8:15
"You have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!'"

πŸ’ Thought for Today

One of the most remarkable things Jesus did was teach us to see God as Father.

Not a distant ruler. Not an uninterested creator. A loving Father.

Jesus used the intimate word Abbaβ€”something closer to "Dad" or "Daddy" than a formal title. This reveals God's heart toward us. He doesn't merely tolerate us; He delights in us. He wants relationship with us.

Many people struggle with the idea of God as Father because of difficult experiences with earthly fathers. But God is not a bigger version of a flawed human parent. He is the perfect Father who loves faithfully, forgives generously, and never abandons His children.

You don't have to earn His affection. You don't have to perform for His approval. Through Christ, you are invited into His family.

🚢 Application

Spend five minutes today talking to God as your Father. Not with complicated religious language, but honestly and openly. Share your concerns, hopes, fears, and gratitude.

πŸ™ Prayer

Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Help me to know You more deeply and trust You more fully each day. Amen.

Have you ever found yourself wondering how you drifted so far?

Maybe church used to be part of your life.
Maybe prayer came naturally once.
Maybe your faith felt alive.

Life happens. Disappointment happens. Hurt happens.

But here's the good news:

Jesus has never stopped loving you.
Jesus has never stopped calling you.
Jesus has never stopped waiting for you.

You don't need to get your life sorted before coming back to God.

Just take one step.

One prayer.
One conversation.
One visit.

The Father still runs to meet prodigals.

Perhaps it's time to come home ❀️

"Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." β€” James 4:8

Day 1 – In the Beginning, God 🌍✨
πŸ“– Bible Reading

Genesis 1:1
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

πŸ’ Thought for Today

Everything begins with God.

Before there was a universe, before there were stars, oceans, mountains, or people, there was God. He wasn't created. He wasn't elected. He didn't evolve. He simply is.

In a world that often tells us we are free to make up our own truth, God reminds us that He is the source of all truth. He is the author of life, the designer of creation, and the One who establishes what is good, right, and beautiful.

That might sound restrictive to some people, but it's actually incredibly freeing. We don't have to figure everything out for ourselves. We don't have to carry the weight of deciding what life's purpose is. We can trust the One who made us.

The same God who created galaxies also knows your name. The God who set the stars in place cares about the details of your life today.

🚢 Application

This week, take a few moments to look at God's creation. It might be a sunrise, a tree, a bird singing, or simply the people around you. Let it remind you that your life is not an accident. You were created intentionally by a loving God.

πŸ™ Prayer

Father God, thank You that You are the Creator of all things. Help me to trust Your wisdom, Your truth, and Your plans for my life. Amen.

On Trinity Sunday, John Cockling explores one of the most profound truths of the Christian faith: the nature of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Beginning in Genesis and journeying through Scripture, John reminds us that God is the source of all creation, truth, love, and life. He shows how Jesus perfectly reveals the Father, demonstrating God's character through His life, death, and resurrection, and how the Holy Spirit continues to live and work within believers today.

Far from being a distant theological concept, the Trinity reveals a God who desires relationship with His people. The Father creates and loves us, the Son redeems and models life for us, and the Holy Spirit empowers and transforms us. This message encourages us to move beyond simply knowing about God and to experience His presence, guidance, and love in our daily lives. Most importantly, John challenges us to become people who increasingly reflect the character of Jesus, so that the world sees God's love through us.

πŸ”₯ Key Takeaways:

🌍 God is the Creator and source of everything.
Everything that existsβ€”physical and spiritualβ€”finds its origin in Him, and His truth establishes the foundation for life.
❀️ God's nature is love.
The Bible reveals a God who desires relationship with His people and invites us to know Him as a loving Father.
✝️ Jesus perfectly reveals the Father.
If we want to know what God is like, we need only look at Jesus, who came to live among us and show us the heart of God.
πŸ”₯ The Holy Spirit is active in believers today.
The Spirit is not merely a force or a historical reality but God's presence living within His people, guiding, empowering, and transforming them.
πŸ‘£ Following Jesus means becoming more like Him.
The Christian life is about allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our character so that God's love is increasingly visible through us.
🀝 Believers are called to carry God's presence into the world.
As God's people, we are invited to reflect Christ's love and bring hope, truth, and grace wherever we go.

πŸ’¬ Memorable Quote:

"Wouldn't it be great if every one of us was seen as being identical to Jesus? Not in looks, but in love."

Continuing our journey through Revelation, Pastor Dan took us into chapters 15 and 16β€”some of the most sobering and challenging chapters in the entire book. Yet before John sees bowls of judgment poured out on the earth, God once again lifts his eyes to heaven. Before wrath comes worship. Before judgment comes the Lamb. Before earth's chaos comes heaven's throne.

Throughout this series we have returned to one simple truth: **"Look up before you look around."** Revelation is not primarily a book designed to make us fearful about the future; it is a book designed to give us confidence in the God who reigns over it.

This message explored the tension between God's love and God's holiness. The bowls of wrath are not evidence of an angry God losing control, but of a holy and righteous God finally bringing to completion what He has patiently held back for generations. Throughout Revelation, mercy has spoken, warnings have sounded, and opportunities for repentance have repeatedly been given.

Yet perhaps the greatest challenge of the message was not directed at those "out there" but at us. Again and again Revelation turns the mirror back on God's people and asks a searching question: **Where are we delaying obedience?** Are there areas of our lives where God has spoken, called, prompted, or challenged us, yet we continue to postpone surrender?

The final warning of Revelation is also a final invitation. Jesus still calls people to Himself. His mercy is still available. His grace is still sufficient. But the time to respond is now.

Key Takeaways:

πŸ‘€ "Look up before you look around" remains the key to understanding Revelation.
πŸ‘‘ Before John sees judgment, he sees the throne and the Lamb who reigns.
❀️ God's judgment is not the opposite of His love; it flows from His holiness and righteousness.
⏳ God's patience is extraordinary. Every warning is evidence of His mercy and desire for people to repent.
πŸ”₯ Revelation reveals a God who deals with evil completely, perfectly, and at the right time.
πŸͺž These chapters challenge us to examine our own hearts rather than simply focus on the world around us.
⚠️ Delayed obedience can become settled resistance to God's will.
✝️ At the cross, God's justice and mercy met perfectly in Jesus Christ.
πŸ™Œ The question is not simply what God will do in the future, but whether we are fully surrendered to Him today.
πŸ“– The final warning of Revelation remains a final invitation to come to Christ.

Has God been speaking to you about something you've been putting off? Is there an area of your life that still needs to be surrendered to Jesus? Perhaps you've known for some time what God has been asking of you, but you've delayed responding.

The good news is that God's mercy is still available. The same Jesus who will one day bring all things to completion is the Jesus who today invites you to come, repent, surrender, and follow Him.

If you would like prayer, want to know more about Jesus, or simply need someone to stand with you, we'd love to hear from you.
