A small announcement from our Social Supermarket

We have a small announcement,

When we started the Social Supermarket in 2020, we set the weekly cost of a Social Supermarket membership to £3, a token amount to help cover the cost of keeping our shelves full.

Unfortunately, £3 no longer goes as far as it used to.

We have discussed and prayed over this issue for a while, between ourselves and with our volunteers and members. We concluded that, to keep serving our members effectively, we will need to increase our weekly fee.

Therefore, we will be raising our weekly fee from £3 to £5 on the 1st of September. We hope this increase will help us cover the cost of food and keep the quality and choice we are know for.

Truthfully, this increase will not cover all our costs. We will still need to rely on donations and grants to make ends meet. But, we pray that this small change will help us continue to support local people as they build their confidence, community and resilience.

Thank you everyone who has supported us this far, and we hope you will keep cheering us on as we continue this journey ❤️

This summer we will be running Doll Making Workshops!

Join members of our sewing team to make your own cloth doll! All materials and equipment provided, just show up and give it a go!

Wednesdays 11am til 12:30noon.
Suitable for all ages, no experience needed
(children welcome with a responsible adult)
