St Cuthbert's Church

YouthZone celebrated Hope Weekend at St Cuthbert’s last weekend. After gardening around the Church, sweeping the pavement and litter picking, they ended Saturday with well-earned homemade pizzas and a water game! We are all very grateful for their hard work.

On Sunday we welcomed Bishop Pete to our morning service. He took delight in meeting everyone, especially the members of Youth Zone, and the congregation enjoyed the buns made for the service by them.

On Tuesday we welcomed Claude and Israel, two ministers from the Anglican Church in Burundi, to our church for lunch, following their meeting with the Mayor. We heard all about their church and school, and how our support and fund-raising is helping the school children. Our guests were welcomed to a hymn sung by our church choir in their own language and were thrilled. It was a really special occasion for everyone and we look forward very much to the next as we continue our support.
