🚨 IMPORTANT PARKING & TRAVEL NOTICE 🚨

Due to the special Jumu’ah programme today with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, we are expecting very large numbers in attendance and significant traffic around the mosque and surrounding roads.

🚗 Please leave earlier than usual and allow extra time for your journey.
🚗 Parking will be extremely limited.
🚗 Please do not leave it until the last minute to travel.
🚗 Park legally and considerately at all times.
🚗 Do not block driveways, junctions, footpaths, or access routes.
🚗 Please follow the guidance of mosque volunteers and stewards.

We kindly ask everyone to be respectful of local residents and businesses when parking.

Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will be joining us for Jumu’ah this Friday (5th June) at Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr, Eastwood — 1:30pm.

A short Nasiha from Shaykh ul Islam is also expected after the prayer, insha’Allah.

🕌 HOW TO PERFORM THE EID TAKBEERS (HANAFI)

A lot of people get confused with the extra Takbeers in Eid Salah — here’s a simple breakdown 👇

🔹 1ST RAK’AT

1️⃣ Imam says “Allahu Akbar” to start Salah
➡️ Raise hands and fold them.

2️⃣ Read Sana quietly.

3️⃣ Then the Imam says the extra Takbeers:

• 1st extra Takbeer → Raise hands, then leave hands by your side
• 2nd extra Takbeer → Raise hands, then leave hands by your side
• 3rd extra Takbeer → Raise hands, then fold hands again

4️⃣ Imam will then recite Surah Fatiha and another Surah.

5️⃣ Continue Salah normally into Ruku and Sujood.

🔹 2ND RAK’AT

1️⃣ Imam recites Surah Fatiha and another Surah first.

2️⃣ Then come the extra Takbeers:

• 1st Takbeer → Raise hands, leave hands by your side
• 2nd Takbeer → Raise hands, leave hands by your side
• 3rd Takbeer → Raise hands, leave hands by your side
• 4th Takbeer → Raise hands and go straight into Ruku

Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr Rotherham

EID ANNOUNCEMENT

It has been confirmed that the new moon for Shawwal has been sighted this evening, Thursday 18th March 2026 and therefore we will be completing 29 fasts of Ramadan and Eid will be celebrated on Friday day 20th March 2026 In'Sha'Allah.

Eid ul Fitr Salah time will be as follows:

Eid Jamaat: 9:30am

Please arrive 20 minutes early to benefit from the talk.

Fitrana of £5 should be paid for each person in your house regardless of age before Eid Namaz. This can be paid at the Masjid.

Can we please request that all local residents walk to the Masjid as per the sunnah. Anyone travelling by car, please car share and please park sensibly without disturbing our neighbours.

We look forward to seeing you at the Masjid.

May Allah Almighty shower His mercy upon you and your families. May Allah almighty grant you and your families long, peaceful and prosperous lives.
