A warm welcome

The Salvation Army, with its brass bands,
Its timbles, and its banners,
Its brave and noble women and its men,
Is ever to the fore.

It fights the foe of poverty and sin,
Of slavery and addiction,
Of homelessness and all the ills
That mar our modern nation.

Its work is not in vain. It helps the poor,
It saves the lost and fallen,
It lifts up those who are downtrodden,
And makes them feel like men and women.

"The Salvation Army is not a sect,"
Said William Booth, its founder,
"It is a Christian movement,
And its aim is to save the world."

In the 21st century, the Salvation Army
Is still fighting the good fight,
And its work is just as important now
As it ever was.

So let us all join hands with the Salvation Army,
And help it in its work,
For it is a noble cause,
And it is worthy of our support.

The coronation of King Charles III is a momentous occasion for the United Kingdom. It is a time to celebrate our history, our culture, and our Christian faith.

The coronation will be a beautiful and uplifting ceremony, full of symbolism and meaning. The King will be anointed with holy oil, symbolising the outpouring of God's grace and blessing. He will be crowned with a crown, symbolising his authority as the head of state. And he will take an oath to uphold the laws of the land and to defend the rights of all his subjects.

The coronation is a reminder that we are a Christian nation. Our history is rooted in the Christian faith, and our values are shaped by it. We believe in the importance of truth, justice, and compassion. We believe in the dignity of all human beings, regardless of their race, religion, or social status.

The coronation of King Charles III is a time to renew our commitment to these values. It is a time to pray for the King and his family, and to ask God to guide them as they lead our nation. It is also a time to celebrate our Christian heritage and to look forward to a bright future for our country.

Let us all join together in welcoming King Charles III to the throne. Let us pray for him and for our nation. And let us work together to build a better future for all.

"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: as free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king."
1 Peter 2:13-18

Spring is a time of new life. The days get longer, the weather gets warmer, and the world around us begins to awaken from its winter slumber. Trees bud, flowers bloom, and animals emerge from their dens. It is a time of hope and renewal, and it is a reminder of God's gift of nature.

The Bible is full of references to nature. In the book of Genesis, God creates the world and all that is in it, including plants, animals, and humans. He calls it "good."

In the book of Psalms, the psalmist sings praises to God for the beauty of creation. He writes, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork" (Psalm 19:1).

God's gift of nature is not just for our enjoyment. It is also a reminder of His power and His love. When we look at the beauty of creation, we can see God's fingerprints all over it. We can also see His love for us, because He has given us this world to enjoy.

Spring is a time to celebrate the gift of new life. It is a time to be grateful for God's creation, and it is a time to look forward to the future. As we enjoy the beauty of spring, let us remember that it is a gift from God.

"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it" (Psalm 24:1)

"For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory" (Romans 11:36)

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul" (Psalm 23:1-3).
