Good morning everyone,

Pope Francis told us that the Christian truth is attractive and persuasive because it responds to humanity’s deepest needs. So, what is the truth and what are our needs?

The truth is God’s immense love for everyone of us; if I don’t feel loved by God I need to take time before a crucifix or imagine that image. The crucifix is a reminder as to how far God’s love reaches, God joins us even in the very depths of despair for the need in every human is mercy, forgiveness and authentic love.

Today may I give myself a chance to reflect on God’s love for me and may I understand the opportunities ahead to show God my sincere gratitude by bringing mercy, forgiveness and authentic love to those I will meet. Amen.

Good morning everyone

Let us praise you, Lord, with voice and mind and deed; and since life itself is your gift may all we have and are be yours.

May your Spirit guide us in our decisions and actions, protecting us from selfish ways that lead to sin. Bless those we will encounter today and give us generous hearts that will welcome their presence in our lives: the good the bad, those who nourish us and those who will be challenging.

For you are in all situations and when we trust in you, your grace will make all things new. Amen.

A gentle reminder from the GIFT team. 🧡

We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer. Our sessions begin again on Saturday 12th September at 1:45. Mass could be indoors or outdoors depending on the weather but the second half of the session will be outdoor Forest Church whatever the weather so please come prepared.

If you have any accessibility concerns regarding the outdoor space please let us know so we can make sure everyone is welcomed.

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

Good morning everyone.

I had hoped we would be celebrating the 11am Mass this morning at St Gerard’s Church. Unfortunately there is a lot of cleaning that needs to be done before this can happen. We are depending on volunteers offering their help, details as to what days the cleaning operation will take place this coming week will be given later.

Our 11am Mass for Sunday 6 Sept, will be celebrated in the school hall. Thank you again to St Gerard’s School, and to everyone who make the arrangements and to you for your patience and understanding.

We accept this new day as your gift Lord, grant that we may use its opportunities wisely and please you in our thoughts, words and deeds. May we see you in our neighbour and recognise through the day the moments of grace that remind us of your presence.

Help us to arrive at the evening with a daily offering that honours your Holy Name.

Good morning Lord, I offer to you my day ahead. My joys, my sufferings, my cares, my concerns, all my accomplishments and all my failures. All that I have, all that I do is yours, please keep me in your care and direct my actions. Show me how to live and may I turn to you when in temptation to breakaway from you. Be the inspiration of my work and my words and guide my thoughts. Keep my outlook positive and filled with hope. In these ways may I be your faithful disciple. Amen.
