ARTICLE ALERT 🚨
We are created in his image and yet we are each created different and unique. No two people are alike. No two hearts beat to the same rhythm. If God had wanted everyone to be the same, he would have made it so.

What does it mean to be unique? And why is being true to you so important???

ARTICLE ALERT 📣📢
Think about the phrase you’re about to read and let it sink in.

“To be loved and not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is what it means to be loved by God”

Something I struggle with is trying to escape the mentality of “what will people think” whether that is at church or elsewhere. It’s the ‘which image can I project that will reflect my best self’ ideology that I find takes over more often than I’m willing to admit. But the walls that we use to protect our image are the same walls that imprison us with our pain.
REMINDER:
Even Christ was rejected- “the stone that the builders rejected” -psalm 118:22

Why you should stop avoiding mirrors

A struggle that may have accompanied you during lockdown is the ability to sit down with yourself without the distractions that the world provides on a daily basis. It was a time of self reflection. A time where you needed to look at yourself in the mirror.
So here are some steps that could help you self reflect as we’re coming out of lockdown and ‘going back to normal’

Firstly:
The accountability mirror:
Give yourself some time to look at yourself with complete vulnerability and honesty and address the things you know you need to adjust or change in your life. Whether that’s to increase your time spent with God or to work out more, whatever it is, be honest with yourself.

Treat the root cause:
Identify what’s causing the issues or struggles you’re having and where their roots are, treating the aftermath will not solve the main issue.

Always assess what you believe in and your actions - “Any life, faith of idea that isn’t examined isn’t worth having”

Lack of motivation is something we all experience...
But how do we change so that we don’t just get a small burst of false motivation that fluctuates as much as emotions, so that it’s a lifestyle, not a ‘phase’? Want to read more? Head to our website (link in bio) under talks and books!
