Magnus Williamson returned, this time with New Vocal Voices - students from Newcastle University. Amazing singing and Laura Burnett's solo was outstanding, incredibly beautiful and haunting. We heard the first duet ever composed - a two-hander for the organ which Magnus played with Daisy Gibbs. It was a fascinating programme with insights into the background of the pieces - and as Magnus said 'All this and with cake'! The next Midday Music is on Saturday 13 May - don't miss the music - or the cake.
