Goodrich Church The parish church of St. Giles Goodrich with Welsh Bicknor, situated in the Wye Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Herefordshire St.

Giles stands at the western end of the village of Goodrich. The earliest reference to the church is in 1196 as the parish church of Castle Godric. Giles is very much a community church of Goodrich and the surrounding area and our aim is to both support and be part of that community we serve. Whether you live, work, leisure or holiday in the area, you will always find a warm welcome here at St. Giles.

There’s been a slight change to the time of our Patronal Evensong on Sunday 6th September. Service starts at 5pm, not 4 as in Border News. Join us for an evening of beautiful music with the choir of St Mary’s, Ross on Wye, ageless words and delicious refreshments afterwards.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing and, in this little corner of paradise at least, peace surrounds us. You are very welcome to join us this morning as we celebrate holy communion, ‘with hearts and minds and voices’. See you at 11am. As always, there will be cake.

Sunday 26th April at 11am. The red carpet is out for anyone who would like to join us for our service of Holy Communion. There will be hymns, accompanied by our brilliant organist, a sermon (about which there may not be too much to write home but it will be short) and an opportunity for an encounter with Jesus in bread and w**e. And cake.
