Christ Church LEP Ross-on-Wye

Christ Church LEP has now closed: It is with sadness that we need to advise that Christ Church closed on 31st August 2022.

Please hold the congregation in your prayers as they seek a new churches to make their spiritual home.

Following a congregational meeting of Christ Church LEP, Ross-on-Wye, the direction of travel for the church was agreed by majority to move to closure on the 31st August 2022. This was confirmed by the church council that immediately followed the congregational meeting, and subsequently by the sponsoring body and the 2 denominations. As the building is a Methodist Trust, its managing trustees become the circuit meeting, who will in due course make a decision on the sale of the building.

​A service of thanksgiving for the mission and ministry of the LEP and the two congregations that came together was held on 21st August 2022 at 3pm, followed by refreshments.

​Users of the building have all found new premises to meet in.

Ross Meeting Centre have moved to Tudorville Community Centre, with their last meeting at Christ Church on the 31st August, and then a short break before re-commencing on Thursday 15th September 11.30am - 3.30 pm.

Sadly today is the final service of worship at Christ Church, Edde Cross St in Ross-on-Wye. The church meeting had to take the difficult decision to close as the church became financially unviable, and were finding it difficult to fulfil its governance.
