🌅 Holy Week Day 8 – Sunday: HE IS RISEN
Before sunrise, the tomb was already empty. Jesus had risen. Death had been defeated. The women were the first to know—and they ran to tell the good news.

📖 “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.” – Luke 24:5–6
📖 “Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” – Matthew 28:10

✝️ This changes everything. He is alive. And He’s calling your name.

🌑 Holy Week Day 7 – Saturday: The Silence of the Tomb
Jesus lay in the tomb. The world waited, lost in grief and confusion. The disciples hid. Hope felt gone. But even in death, God was not defeated. The grave was only borrowed.

📖 “Joseph wrapped the body in a clean linen cloth and laid it in his own new tomb... and rolled a great stone to the door.” – Matthew 27:59–60

✝️ In our waiting and sorrow, God is still at work.

🕯 Holy Week Day 6 – Friday: The Crucifixion
Today, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, mocked, beaten, and crucified. The sky went dark. The earth shook. And with a loud cry—He gave up His spirit. For you. For us all.

📖 “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” – Luke 23:34
📖 “It is finished.” – John 19:30
📖 “Surely this man was the Son of God.” – Mark 15:39

✝️ Sit with this. God died today. Love held nothing back.

🍞 Holy Week Day 5 – Thursday: The Last Supper
Tonight, Jesus gathered with His friends. He broke bread. He washed feet. He shared wine and spoke of betrayal, of love, of a new covenant. He prayed in agony in Gethsemane—while His friends fell asleep.

📖 “This is my body, given for you... This cup is the new covenant in my blood.” – Luke 22:19–20
📖 “Not my will, but yours be done.” – Luke 22:42

✝️ Jesus served and surrendered. How are we following Him tonight?

Holy Week Day 4 – Wednesday: Quiet Plans, Quiet Faith
Today, the Gospels go silent. But something stirred in secret: Judas made a deal to betray Jesus. Meanwhile, a woman anointed Jesus with oil—preparing Him for burial. She understood more than most.

📖 “Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, ‘What will you give me if I betray him to you?’” – Matthew 26:14–15
📖 “She has done a beautiful thing to me... she has prepared me for burial.” – Mark 14:6,8

✝️ Even when things feel quiet, God is moving—and watching what we choose.

Holy Week Day 3 – Tuesday: Teaching Truth, Facing Plots
Jesus spent this day teaching in the temple. Parables, wisdom, challenge. The religious leaders plotted to trap Him—but His words were too true, too deep. Still, they began to plan His death.

📖 “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” – Matthew 22:21
📖 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart... and your neighbour as yourself.” – Matthew 22:37–39

✝️ Jesus sees through our masks. Are we listening—or resisting?
