The Rooster This is the social media portal for The Rooster, the Roos parish newsletter in East Yorkshire. Contact us on Facebook or at [email protected]

The Rooster Association consists of a comittee of local residents and volunteers who bring this iconic newsletter to the local parish of Roos in East Yorkshire both on-line and through your letterbox. We provide information about upcoming local events and activities from local community groups, societies, teams, our parish churches, the parish council etc. Get your event noticed by the public, send us your stories and dates. We welcome donations which can be made in the Roos Village Store.

Here's the October Rooster. A little early this time as it's been a while. If you like the Rooster and haven't donated recently, we'd really appreciate any donations as, although the Rooster team are all volunteers, we have the printing to pay for. There are collection boxes in the Roos Arms and Village Store or bank details are included in every Rooster. Thankssss and don't forget to send your content and pics to [email protected]

It's March Rooster time and your copy will be delivered in Roos, Tunstall, Owstwick and Hilston over the weekend. Hope you enjoy and please do send your comments, events, stories and pictures to [email protected] for the next edition, copy date 18 March.

On a slightly separate note, the Rooster AGM will be held at the Black Horse on Monday 9 March 7pm. We'd welcome anyone from the Parish to come along, particularly if you'd like to get involved in the Rooster Committee, maybe proof reading or delivering? We hope to see some of you there 😃
