Grief can feel very lonely, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

BALM, our Bereavement and Loss Meeting, meets at Abbey Hall Lounge on Monday, 14 September at 10.30am. for tea, chat and the opportunity to meet others who are also grieving the loss of someone they love.

It’s a relaxed and welcoming space to talk, listen or simply spend time with others who understand.

Everyone is welcome. Come along and join us.

Unsure where Abbey Hall is? Walk under the arch by TSB towards the park. Abbey Hall is the second green door on the left, just before the road widens.

Thank you to King John's House for their support.

We're pleased to support Abbey United Reformed Church's Heritage Open Days exhibition by lending a number of historic objects from the King John's House collection.

This year's exhibition, themed "Everyday Histories," shines a light on the lives of ordinary people who have been part of the church and Romsey community over the last 350 years. Through photographs, documents, artefacts and personal stories, visitors can explore the people and events that helped shape local history.

Our loaned objects form part of the displays, helping to tell these remarkable stories and bring the past closer to home.

Open:
Friday 11 September - 10am-4pm
Saturday 12 September - 10am-4pm
Sunday 12 September - 1pm-4pm

We’re looking forward to our Harvest Festival service on 20 September. As part of our Harvest celebrations, we’re collecting fresh and tinned produce to donate to Romsey Community Pantry, supporting their valuable work in our local community.

If you’d like to donate tins or dried goods, you can drop them off at Abbey URC - the church by the arch, just opposite TSB:

📍 Saturday mornings: 10am–12.30pm
📍 Sunday mornings: 10am–10.30am or 11.30am–12noon

Every donation, however small, is very much appreciated. Thank you!

You can always drop donations into our church on Saturday and Sunday mornings - there's a basket in the entrance 😊

Harvest is upon us, although when we celebrate seems to vary greatly. Let’s say from now and until the end of October is our harvest period!
Please consider donating items to the Foodbank during this important season, as the new school year begins and we look to replenish our stock in readiness for winter and Christmas.
Thank you to all the local businesses, schools, churches and other organisations who have already offered the Foodbank support during Harvest. 🤩

What do a baker, a draper, a doctor, a stonemason, a choir member and a wartime volunteer have in common? They all feature in a new, free exhibition coming to Abbey United Reformed Church, Romsey - the church by the Arch - adjacent to the Market Place.

Friday 11 September: 10am - 4pm
Saturday 12 September: 10am - 4pm
Sunday 13 September: 1pm - 4pm

The exhibition has been developed with valuable support and contributions from individuals, Romsey Local History Society and King John’s House and Museum.

Come along and discover the ordinary lives behind an extraordinary legacy.
