More images from today's unveilling of the Queen Elizabeth II Sculpture in the north churchyard.

Make sure to visit the exhibition in Romsey Abbey (in St. Lawrence's chapel) which explains how this beautiful sculpture by Amy Goodman. Sculptor & Portrait Artist was created. This includes imagery in the robe inspired by memories and artwork of residents and local school children (exhibition open until 20th Sept).

The detailed robe includes three quotations given by Queen Elizabeth II at various stages during her reign:

"I declare before you all that my whole life whether long or short, shall be devoted to your service"

"I know how much I rely on my own faith to guide me through good and the bad"

"Everyone is our neighbour no matter what creed or colour"
