🌍🌳 GOOD NEWS CLUB | GOD’S WONDERFUL CREATION! 💛

We had another fantastic Friday afternoon at Good News Club last week as we brought our Creation series to a close!

After our usual fruit snacks and time to share everyone’s news, the children got creative with LEGO, building some wonderful creations inspired by God’s amazing world! 🧱🌿

We then watched The Jesus Storybook Bible animation of Genesis 3, learning how sin entered God’s perfect Creation and discovering that God had a wonderful rescue plan through Jesus! ❤️

We finished with a fun Creation quiz, remembering all we’ve learned over the past few weeks, including our memory verse, Psalm 24:1. 📖

🌟 COMING UP TODAY – LIGHT PARTY! 🌟

We’re looking forward to celebrating the end of half-term with games, crafts, food, fun and a party bag for every child!

🌻 REAL LIFE | A LIFE OF GRATITUDE 💛

Another lovely evening at Youth Club on Monday! 😊 We got busy in the kitchen making delicious homemade flatbreads and soup 🥣🫓, with plenty of chatting and laughter along the way!

We also continued our REAL LIFE series, this week exploring A Life of Gratitude. Following our Harvest celebrations, we took some time to think about the little things in life that we sometimes take for granted.

Looking at 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we chatted about what it means to live a life of gratitude, even when things don’t always go to plan.

We thought about the people who make a difference in our lives, the everyday things we appreciate and how we can show our gratitude to others. 💛

Our challenge for the week was simple: Notice the little things, appreciate what you have and take time to thank someone! 😊

It’s lovely seeing friendships grow as we cook, chat, learn and have fun together. There’s always a warm welcome for more young people to come along and join us! 🙌

We were so blessed last Sunday to hear Nathan Munday, of the Heath Evangelical Church, give us a foretaste of heaven as he preached from Luke chapter 5. We saw how striking it is when Jesus walks by He brings light and life, help to a needy world.

If you have come to Jesus, realising your sin, immediately He takes it away. Heaven begins today! You have a foretaste of heaven now.

🌾🍂 GOOD NEWS CLUB | SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR! 💛

We had another wonderful Friday afternoon at Good News Club as we brought our Creation and Harvest theme together! 🌍✨

We started with our usual fruit snacks and time to share everyone’s news 🍎 before reflecting on all the amazing things God has made and the many reasons we have to be thankful.

We revisited our memory verse, Psalm 24:1, reminding us that the whole world and everything in it belongs to God. 📖🌿

The children then got creative, writing and drawing things they are thankful for on colourful autumn leaves 🍁🎨 These were added to our special Tree of Thanksgiving, creating a beautiful display for everyone to enjoy.

We also spent time recording Harvest verses and poems to share at our Harvest Lunch. 🎤 We also enjoyed spending time in the chapel, singing our Harvest songs, praying together, giving thanks to God for His goodness. 🎶🙏

A fantastic afternoon of friendship, creativity and thankfulness! We have really enjoyed seeing the children’s enthusiasm as we have explored God’s wonderful Creation over the last few weeks. 💛🌻

💬 REAL LIFE | WORDS MATTER 💛

Last Monday we had another fun evening at Youth Club! 😊 We finished our Harvest placemats ready for tomorrow's Harvest lunch 🌾, made some delicious carrot & corinader soup 🥕🥔🥣 and had a birthday to celebrate too! 🎉🥳

We continued our REAL LIFE series with Words Matter. After some fun Would You Rather? questions, we explored everyday situations young people might come across — banter with friends, group chats, gossip, giving honest advice and knowing when a joke has gone too far. 💬📱

Looking at Ephesians 4:29, we chatted about how powerful our words can be and how we can use them to build people up, encourage and be kind. 💛

Our challenge for the week: before you say it, send it or post it ... think about the person receiving it! 👀📱

Lots of cooking, laughter, good conversations and time together — and there’s always room for more! If you’re in Year 7+, come along and join us. 😊🙌

What we value determines our actions. What we value determines what we become. If we value God, it doesn't matter what we have - it becomes enough. The testimony of Christians, from the beginning of the age is the greatest delight is in God.

This was part of the message given to us last Sunday by Evan Millership of Caerwent Baptist Chapel, as he spoke on the call of grace, the cost of grace and the celebration of grace.

🌾💛 HARVEST PREPARATIONS AT GOOD NEWS CLUB 🍂✨

Last Friday we had a busy and happy afternoon at Good News Club! 😊 We started with our fruit snacks and time to share everyone’s news 🍎🍇 before heading out into the garden to record some special Harvest poems and prayers ready for our Harvest celebration. 🌿🎤🌾

The children also continued colouring their Harvest decorations ready for our Children, Youth & Family Harvest Lunch. 🎨🍁

We spent time together in the chapel ⛪, enjoying some beautiful singing and prayers as we gave thanks to God for His goodness to us. 🎶🙏 We also practised our Harvest memory verse:

🌍 “The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” – Psalm 24:1

We are all looking forward to meeting again this afternoon.

As Christians, we can look in wonder and amazement, and be in awe of the love the Father has lavished on us. It's better than love for family, romantic love or love for friends. God's love is lavish, poured out - an unlimited buffet of love. When we feel a lack of love, we can find it in God. If you are not a Christian, will you accept His love for you?

As Christians, we also look forward to Jesus' return. There's a guarantee we are going to be made into something special when Jesus returns. We become like Him - not looking exactly the same but we will have perfect bodies. Our character will be perfect when we see Jesus face to face.

We should, gradually day by day, work towards what we are going to be, becoming more and more godly. Grow in grace and share that grace with others.

May you be encouraged by this brief summary of a recent sermon given to us by Jonny Raine of Living Hope Church, Cwmbran, as he preached from 1 John chapter 3, verses 1-3.

🌾 YOUTH CLUB | GETTING READY FOR HARVEST 🍂

Last Monday at Youth Club, we focused our time on getting ready for our Children, Youth & Family Harvest Lunch! 💛

The young people recorded Harvest poems and prayers ready to share and got creative colouring Harvest placemats for the tables. 🎨🌾

We also made delicious pancakes together 🥞, enjoyed some table tennis 🏓 and had lots of fun chatting about our exciting plans for the rest of the year — as well as starting to prepare for a trip together next summer! ⛺️✨

We’re really looking forward to celebrating Harvest together next Sunday and seeing everything the children and young people have been preparing come together. 🍂🙏

And there’s always a warm welcome for more young people to come along and join us! 😊💛
