Join us this evening to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi. A special day when the church gives thanks to God for the gift of the sacrament of Holy Communion.

On this special day, we remember Christ’s presence with us in the Eucharist and gather in worship and thanksgiving.

A Festal Eucharist, sung by the boy choristers and lay clerks, begins at 5.30pm.

All are warmly welcome.

Following a wonderful opening concert by Tim Harper, our Summer Organ Festival continues on Tuesday 9 June at 7.30pm with a recital by Ripon Cathedral’s Director of Music, Ronny Krippner.

These concerts are a wonderful opportunity to experience the organ close-up and centre stage in a stunning setting which is at once inspiring and intimate.

The programme features works by J. S. Bach, Widor, as well as improvisation.

You are warmly invited to stay afterwards for a glass of wine and the opportunity to chat to the organist.

Tickets and the full programme are available via our website: https://riponcathedral.org.uk/events/ripon-cathedral-summer-organ-festival/?occurrence=2026-06-09&time=1781033400

We are very much looking forward to this week’s Thursday lunchtime concert with organist Archie Davies, playing music by J. S. Bach, Howells, Demessieux & Langlais.

Archie is Senior Organ Scholar at Ripon Cathedral and we are thrilled to hear that he will take up the position of Organ Scholar at Gloucester Cathedral in September! Currently sitting his A levels, Archie has taken some time out for this week’s recital which will take place at 1pm in our Medieval quire.

Before heading off to Gloucester Archie has three more recitals at Leeds Minster, Howden Minster and St Mary's Church, Thirsk.

Archie joined Ripon Cathedral Choir when he was eight and we couldn’t be prouder of what he has achieved.

Our Thursday concerts are free with a retiring collection. Light refreshments are served from 12.30pm, please help us look after the fabric of our building by consuming food and drink before taking a seat.
