After a well-deserved summer break, we’re delighted to welcome back the Ripon Cathedral Choir this week. From Thursday 10 September they return to lead the cathedral’s worship. This year we are especially pleased to celebrate the arrival of five new boy choristers and six new girl choristers, joining the talented choir family.

Over the summer, we’ve been privileged to welcome a wonderful variety of visiting choirs, who have generously supported our worship. We’re hugely grateful to every choir who has joined us and shared their music with our congregation and visitors.

With the beautiful sound of voices filling this ancient space, it is a chance to pause, breathe and reflect before the day comes to an end.

On days when Choral Evensong is not taking place, you are invited to join us for Evening Prayer, offering the same opportunity to pause.
